We found Lonnie (Canine Texas) through our local vet. We needed a trainer for our anxious and nervy 4 year old Border Collie/Lab. Lonnie did an amazing job with Charlie in the 40 day program. Lonnie is very knowledgeable in his training skills and Charlie is now back at home with a new (relaxed) and disciplined kind of demeanor. We greatly appreciated the text updates, photos, and videos while at training!! We recommend Lonnie at Canine Texas to friends, family, and neighbors for a job well done. Charlie has been back for boarding several times and is happy to see Lonnie again and again!!

I spoke with Lonnie extensively about service dogs. He talked me through a tough decision I had to make about a new friend, and her service dog who is fearful of public places.He spent a great deal of time educating me on the facts. I found this trainer to be very experienced and genuinely dedicated to his craft with dogs. I was quite relieved to get his expert advice and would highly recommend his services to anyone. Dropped off my gsp and after 30 days was a night and day difference with his behavior. Have littles one at home and helped so much knowing my gsp can be out knowing exactly where he would be and listening to my commands. Highly recommended!

Lonnie did an absolutely amazing job at training our very high energy German Shepherd. He is extremely knowledgeable and we felt very comfortable leaving our dog with him for an extended period of time for training and boarding. I 10/10 would recommend him to an anyone who needs help with a stubborn dog!

Some of his story is not true. The initial conversation were mostly on email. My dog was given to a 19 yo taken to an apartment where I had no idea of. “ trying to help her with Buisness “ my dogs are not aggressive. They’re adolescents.Anyhow, why do Buisness in a way that you threaten the customer for writing its own opinion?

I wait to write reviews so I can speak to quality and provide feedback and our experience reflects service received about a year ago. I adopted a 4 month white German Shepherd named Jäger. I knew I wanted to adopt a puppy, but I hadn't planned on the timing - which was just a few days before we were going to leave on a week long vacation. I scrambled to find boarding starting with my home town and broadening my range for ANYONE along the roadtrip route. I came across Lonnie and asked about a week? I was told the minimum was a month - but could work with me for last minute arrangements. I was grateful. It was rough letting go of this adorable puppy - but Lonnie made things easier for us by keeping us apprised of progress with videos and pictures. In a month, he had learned a solid foundation which has allowed us to build upon and mold him into the perfect companion. He's excited to be around us and a part of us. So, a year later - the training has stuck. Jäger is a gentleman around guests and strangers - thanks to the work and willingness of Lonnie to help and empathize with new puppy owners.

Lonnie did a fantastic job with my 9 month old Great Pyrenees mix during his 30 day stay. While he was there I received consistent weekly text updates, pictures and videos. My boy has issues with impulse control but now I have the tools to help him overcome that. He doesn’t jump on me anymore, loves to chill on his place mat and I’ve even been able to start teaching him some new commands.

If you need training for your dog there isn’t anyone better than Lonnie at Texas Canine. Couldn’t be happier with the results. Rusty is honestly the best dog and the training he received is something we would never be able to do on our own.

Lonnie and his team were amazing. When I dropped off our 1.5 year old English bulldog, I warned him that this dog was stubborn and hard headed. I can honestly say we got our money's worth with this one. Gunny did a complete turn around when it comes to his behavior but still maintained his affection. I was worried his playfulness would be completely trained out of him but that isn't the case. Gunny used to jump on everyone and run out the door every chance he got. Many times we've had to sprint around the block chasing him. He chewed on everything he could fit in his mouth and never sat still. If we couldn't see him at all times, he was sure to be destroying something. If we crated him, he howled. Thanks to Canine Texas, we still have our playful adorable pup but we can relax because he actually listens. He loves his place mat now. He gets to be a part of family time now. He hasn't jumped on a single person since bringing him home nor has he tried to run out of the door. He comes when called and we can actually take him for walks on a leash now without him pulling and yanking. We did the 30 day program. Of course we missed our pup but Lonnie sent pictures and updates so we knew he was in good hands. We chose Canine Texas because our dog wouldn't be in a cage in a business. He was at someone's home, in a small group, so he got the attention he needed. Lonnie focuses on truly training the dogs not just making money.

I highly recommend Canine Texas! Lonnie is fantastic at what he does and he can help train your dog to be a productive/obedient member of society. Lonnie offers different programs for different needs, so there are always options that fit you, the Owner, and what your overall goal is with your dog. The facility is clean, helps train you too and always has an answer to every question you throw his way. Lonnie is extremely qualified and has an abundance of knowledge in regards to dog training and maintaining after programs have been completed. If you want honesty, integrity and great leadership throughout your dogs training sessions and yours, RUN, don't walk!

I couldn't recommend this training facility any stronger. I know Lonnie usually trains with working dogs but we placed our wild child family pet in his 4 month training program and we are absolutely thrilled with the results. She went from being the "It's your turn to deal with her" dog to a happy well behaved addition to our family. Not only was her training top notch but Lonnie was also really helpful in teaching us how to maintain and improve her training as well as exercise and feeding tips. Any time we need to board Artemis we'll be using Canine Texas!!
