I do not often take the time to review. I must this time. Be careful shopping here. This is the closest nursery to me, but the last time I will set foot here. I've shopped here two times. Both times I have left feeling defeated and ripped off. Today was the 2nd time. The first time, me not having had shopped here before, I didn't know that one gentleman makes note of all that you put in your cart, but he DOESN'T make note of what you REMOVE from your cart. I was charged for two items I put back and didn't realize until I got home. It's a 30-minute drive, so I blame that on me. I should have paid attention and told myself I WOULD next time. I got a discount card stamped and knew I would get 20% off the 2nd time. Good deal. Second visit was today. I intended to walk through and do some plant looking, and they had 20% off all over the place. FUN! But first encounter was with the man who works behind the counter. I was having my plant food containers refilled and he was extremely rude about this. He does not like discounts, it's clear! Yes, he offers them. But he clearly doesn't like them. He filled 3 and said he couldn't fill the 4th due to government regs, so, I just got that done, got to the point, got exactly what I came for, and got out of there. Rudeness just killed my shopping mood. I gave him my 20% discount card. The other guy gave him my bill. Behind the counter guy stripped all 20% discounts and fussed at guy two because he said I don't get those; I have a 20% discount card. I thought, umm. okay fine. I guess that makes sense. I get to my car, look at the bill, and clearly, I have NO discount whatsoever! None. I go back and ask, nicely. I am told, well there's a 5% up charge for using a CREDIT CARD! That's probably why you lost your discount. I said okay...but I'm bewildered. ?? How does an up charge of 5% equal loss of a 20% discount?!! I might add here, more and more, we are being FORCED to use a CC instead of cash and there's a 5% upcharge? I'm completely done with this place, and I hate to be! They have some great products, but I'd rather drive to the nursery I know treats me right and avoid these guys all together. They are truly scam artists. If you shop here...WATCH everything!! I feel I must notify Skip Richter of GardenLine as well. He's a great and honest person. He wouldn't want to recommend a place that treats you this way. It's unbelievable and very in your face. WOW what a find!! I moved just up the road about six months ago and I'm kicking myself for not having stopped by here sooner. Has everything for your gardening needs and then some. The place is family owned with a very knowledgeable staff near Old Montgomery.

We had bought several plants with them from perennials to shrubs to a tree and 90% of them died and not because we didn't take care of them but was told that the dirt that they used was either infected with something or not good at all. We spent thousands of dollars with them to come and help us out on a new built to put new landscaping. They brought everything to us and planted everything. Just recently our magnolia tree died and those aren't cheap at all. The only reason I know their dirt isn't good at all is because we replaced some Holly's that we bought from Lowe's and same thing happened to them as the ones we bought from this place. I don't recommend this place at all. Run and give your business and money elsewhere.

I was charged $75 for the owner to come to my house to do a consultation and get an estimate for a complete landscaping overhaul.I was under the impression that I would hear from the owner and we would get this scheduled, but a week went by with no phone call.Apparently they are busier than I realized, but I was wanting work done sooner than later.
