I wanted to purchase a firearm online. 105 Pawn was listed as a "preferred FFL dealer" on the site (as well as on other sites). Having no experience using an FFL (Federal Firearm License) before, I went to 105 Pawn to inquire about the process. I inquired whether I needed to advise them (105 pawn) of the firearm I was ordering prior to using them. I was told "no". I also asked if I needed to advise them after purchasing the firearm, just in case they needed to expect its arrival/my phone #/etc. I was told "no".
After gathering some other information I left 105 Pawn (cost, phone#, etc). That week I ordered an AR pistol from Primary Arms to be shipped to 105 Pawn. The arrival date was to be 12/5/23.
On 12/5/23, I received a phone call from 105 Pawn. I was told they received the firearm, but that they were sending/returning it back to Palmetto State because they don't like to handle firearms like the one I ordered. I inquired what was wrong with the AR pistol and was advised by them that even though my firearm was legal, they don't like to deal with them due to possible "future" concerns with the ATF. I was advised that they (105 Pawn) had already started the return process....end of story.
I checked my email and sure enough they started the "return" process, but it appeared as if I was the person returning it. I personally had to speak to Palmetto State several times in order to straighten this ordeal out. I had to explain that I did not refuse the firearm, did not want to return it for a refund, and that whole issue was initiated by 105 Pawn.
I called around and spoke to several other FFL's around Montgomery County. They were all astonished and bewildered to why a perfectly legal firearm was refused. Luckily I was able to find a FFL close by in Pinehurst (TX Arsenal) that gladly accepted the business. This transaction with TX Arsenal went smoothly.
I am disappointed by the way this was handled by 105 Pawn. My whole reason for going in the first time was to learn the process and ask questions in order to prevent issues like this from happening. Had they told me their policy beforehand it sure would have prevented a headache that added 3 weeks to me getting my firearm.
I suggest using other locations in the area such as TX Arsenal

They sell counterfeit/defective goods and have defrauded many people. There are plenty of honest pawn brokers, don't support these crooks!

Horrible customer service… I’ve been there to buy a 2000$ guitar and the sales guy tell me… You don’t look like the customer for this guitar… poor stupid guy… my guitar collection is over 100k

I've know this business and those who work there for over 20 years. I go this this particular pawn shop now because I live close by. They have always bee helpful and courteous. Anyone who had any bad experience must have had a very rare experience. Love this place and people.

105 Pawn is a good place to hunt for tools, firearms, jewelry or fishing tackle. Always a full shelf, the guys have always treated me well and the haggle is strong.

I took a friend there, he is going through some real hard times, a month ago they low balled his 14 k gold mens necklace after he bargained with them they finally agreed to triple what the original offer was. Then I took him back a week ago and they tried again to rip him off so this time my friend said he was desperate but doesn’t deserve to be treated unfairly and he said no to them and says he will never return. He sold it online and got what he wanted.

I have done business with this company before. 105 Pawn is willing to work with you I’m any capacity. The two guys I have worked with the most are Justin and Andy. They both know the value of customer retention and customer service. Great job guys!
