Very disappointed about rude check-out staff that will eventually check-out without DL. Usually the staff there are friendly and very helpful when I cannot find what I am looking for but this specific incident made my blood boil and I am usually patient having worked in customer service myself when I was a college student. But this made ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE.The incident: I arrive at specs with my girlfriend around 6:40-6:50 pm (january 9, 2024) to buy alcohol, after a few minutes we found what we were looking for and headed to check-out. We kindly greet the lady with a smile and politely (older looking brunette with slightly weavy hair, wearing glasses & beanie, on the petite side at the check out station #8) but she strait up gives us attitude. We think nothing of it and just assume she had a long day. She checks out my girlfriend with no issues then comes my turn and i forgot my DL, so I ask my girlfriend to check-out for me and told the lady I have a picture of my DL to prove that I am at least waaay older than 21 to not make things difficult (and we are almost 30, so there is no way we look like teenagers). She refuses to sell the alcohol although I have another adult present… which I can respect to a certain point because the law is the law right?The upsetting part now, I went home to grab my DL, and it took us another hour to come back (around 7:50-8:10). Upon arrival, the same lady didn’t even look at me, she barely acknowledged my presence and checked-out my items WITHOUT scanning my DL like she did to my friend’s! She didn’t even take it to check the date. She absolutely didn’t even bother holding my DL or asked for it. She asked another cashier to help check-out and that was it?! THAT WAS IT!I have no idea why the lady was so rude and went out of her way to make a sale sooo difficult supposedly for “legal purposes”, Only NOT to respect the law at the end by failing to check my DL. I thought she had to make sure I was the age I claimed to be if I “looked so young”??! Anyway that seemed pretty illegal to me. If I really was a minor, I would’ve walked out with a Jumbo bottle of Malibu, a bottle of Vanilla Kahlua, grenadine sirop. And I would’ve been drunk on Malibu sunsets while I stuff myself with tiramisu. I never understood how people could stay at a job that makes them feel so miserable to a point they feel to go out of their way to make another individual’s life difficult. My younger self with no degrees would’ve went to HEB or any other businesses down Highway 6 (which I had as a college student).

Javier was so great! Recommend a tequila for margs and explained the difference in the types. He was knowledgeable and sooo friendly. We just moved 6 mins away so this will be our new go to store.

Large selection. Spec's had a wine, my favorite, that is difficult to find. Prices are competitive. Parking in front. Extremely helpful, friendly employees.
