“I’m usually a dealership person just because of the accountability. I’m willing to pay a little bit more for convenience or quality.
Lately my dealership has been awful and I can’t schedule an oil change. So I started looking at alternatives. Take 5 really does a good job of advertising because all of the cringy commercials I remembered their brand and when I searched google a coupon popped up.
I was able to book an appointment online but when I got there, there was only 1 car in front of me so I was in within 10 minutes.
When I talked to the tech they explained that the empty bay is used for appointments. So they do operate on a first come first serve basis but if you do have an appointment you can skip the line and use the bay.
As far as the options it’s not cheap. I went with the high mileage Mobil full synthetic. Upwards of $120 because my vehicle takes 6 quarts. The dealership is about that price so I was shocked it higher non dealership. But you know what, I was able to get an oil change the same day within about 15 minutes. I’ll take for that convenience.
