“Pros:- managers and front desk very friendly and helpful. I had a really weird experience booking through Priceline where my reservation didn’t come through the hotel system, the staff tried everything they could to help me get into the room. They put your comfort first. When you need anything in the room, they were really eager to help as well.- Room was clean and odor-free. The building smelled quite new, carpeting and flooring were very clean. Lobby was kept very clean and furnitures looked new. All beddings were clean, as I have very sensitive skin I pay close attention to these. Almost everything for basic needs was provided in the room- Location is nice, the area was clean and quiet, surrounded by restaurants and stores. It is a 30 mins drive to downtown Houston, which I didn’t mind at all.Cons:The towels looked darkish, I’m not really sure about the reasons. This is the only thing I noticed needs improvement.”

“Fun time we had a business retreat weekend and yea we had great massages and nice food more fan of the massage the only downside is the jacuzzi is hot and texas is hotter lol ? so wasn’t very pleasant I wish you guys have a cold jacuzzi to help enjoy the experience the indoor is fresh not hot not cold - recommend for decompressing ?”

“I stayed here for a work event and enjoyed my stay. Lovely hotel just not a lot to do around it. Being from out of town the only places to eat near by are the hotel, a subway, and a gyro joint. I will say the Ubers aren’t too expensive to snag and go to more higher traffic areas that have food/shops/bars.Hotel gym has peloton only treadmills so you have to have a membership to use them. Pool is located on the rooftop which was nice. Staff and room was lovely!!Rooms: Lovely rooms. Very modernNearby activities: Not much. Must drive about 5-10 min to other area/district for food and activities.Safety: Hotel felt safe overall. The area around the hotel is mostly medical buildingsWalkability: Not a lot to walk to. Subway was about a 5 min walk.Food & drinks: Hotel does have food and a bar. It only has 3 reviews so I choose to eat else where.”

“Nice quiet location, right across the street from a few good restaurants. The staff was not perfectly mannered on our arrival, but the manager profusely apologized for this. The rooms were cute and well styled. Great toiletries and water pressure in the shower.Unfortunately, we had a water leak in our room, and some of my things were damaged, but management immediately offered to reimburse me. We were switched to another room, and which was fine.The beds were firm and not particularly my favorite, but they were tolerable.Most of the rooms had a kitchen area with pots and pans, and other basic kitchen utensils. Microwave, fridge, stovetop. The in room coffee and tea was not good.Overall, a little underwhelming”

“They really did an amazing job with the renovation from the previous hotel. The vibe in here is fun and swanky and every detail is perfect. The room was great and had a cute little balcony. Every drink or meal I had in the hotel was good too. My only issue was when the power went out and we had to take our luggage down the stairs!”

“As soon as I walked in every lobby employee greeted me with a smile even though they were slammed busy with check-outs and guests in the venues! It was the most welcoming experience to any property that I've ever had. I was greeted at the CAFE by Juliette (Ambassador) and was also greeted by Emely another Ambassador, icing on the cake, she also was amazing- The banquet Staff was another great experience. Have never stayed at a Hyatt but will definitely have to stay at this one someday! “I stayed here for 19 weeks straight. I love the area, great service from front desk crew to room service to the bar keeps to breakfast staff to evening cooks and to the managers. They handle everything from new sheets to replacing a mircowave that I killed within Minutes when requested!! Excellent stay here. Spacious rooms, great beds and pillows, couches, and setup were good. They handle mail for you and will hold luggage if you show up very early for your room.I am proud of the experience, and I hope the management keeps it up.-Noah Austin”

“We had the greatest checkin experience with agent Treyla D, she left a lasting impression we arrived early had a red eye flight and when we arrived wasn’t expecting to checkin and Treyla went above and beyond and was able to accommodate us this was our first girls trip to Houston for our birthdays and she definitely made our trip a wonderful one keep up the great job!”

“Ok first we stayed here because my sister was in the hospital up the street and I have to say I was not disappointed at all. Myself and my mother took turns sleeping and showering during our stay so my sister wouldn't be left alone. I have to give a shout out to Bob you guys have a gem with him as part of the Best Western family. The time he took to show concern for my sister and my mother really touched my heart. He knew I would be going to the hospital early and made sure my mom would not be disturbed so that she could sleep during the day. The day we checked out 7/3/2024 Bob stopped myself and my mother and said and I will never forget this " oh mrs.Miller I was going to tell you to take your mother some breakfast". For this man to say this to me because he knew we were stressed, tired and everything else that comes with this medical situation with my sister to take food for my mother touched me in a way that I will never be able to explain. Bob is a very special man with a huge heart and deserves every bit of this positive feedback. It is because of you Bob that I will be a better person and try to be half the person you are. You are 100 percent the real deal a true compassionate person who truly cares about every human. I could go on all day about the impact you had on me and my family. I will always keep you in my prayers that you will be blessed with a very very happy life. Thank you so much sir for being amazing. Kindness is so amazing and you mastered it!”

“Nice hotel next to the Galleria. Nice remodel. I stay here about every 6 weeks when I'm in town for Dr appts. The new cover over the ac unit is nice but not functional. The AC can't vent properly so the room stays hot. Being hot and sleeping doesn't go together. I use to enjoy eating in the restaurant/bar but don't care for the new menu. So now I walk over to the Galleria to eat. Please bring back the old menu. The new breakfast potatoes are horrible. Unfortunately, with all the changes I may try a new hotel.”

“I had the best stayed ever!!!! It was clean and quiet the ladies were all helpful making sure everything was perfect for us .. the area is also awesome you have a mall literally behind the hotel and a gorgeous Wall Waterfall it’s a beautiful walk around the apple!!!!!!! 5 stars from me that stayed in December!!!!!Rooms: The rooms were spectacular clean comfortable after a long trip from Jersey meaning time wise !!!! But yes my family were very happy in the stay !!!??????Dec. 9- 11th 2023 !!!!Nearby activities: I went to the Wall Waterfall it was beautiful…. Romantic!!!!!! Omg in love and also the mall in that apple area!!!!!!! Safety: It’s really calm traffic respect pedestrians!!!!!! Lol just listen to the robot when you push the button!!!!!Walkability: Walking in the area is so relaxing it’s quiet lots to seee !!!!!!!Food & drinks: Lots of restaurants around especially across the street the Best Mexican Restaurant can’t miss it !!!!!”

“Absolutely wonderful hotel! I highly recommend staying here if you have the chance. The whole place is very charming and unique. The rooms are clean and spacious. The beds are super comfortable. The location is perfect and easily accessible for public transportation or your own vehicle. The parking lot is monitored by a security person all day and night (they drive through it and stay on the property). The breakfast was better than other, more expensive hotels I've stayed at. I really can't say enough good things about Hotel Ylem!”

“Stayed here for business because my company gets me a great rate. The breakfast was good but not expensive. Coffee was okay but not amazing. Restaurant staff were very friendly. I had an issue ordering in room dining twice, just couldn't get through to the line, it went unanswered. I was able to get in room delivery once, and the pecan pie was phenomenal.The front desk staff are nice and very accommodating. I had an issue with my invoice leaving so I will have to contact them to get this resolved (I was charged for free breakfast).I often get packages delivered and they were very accommodating about this.Parking is ample. No issues there.Room was very clean and quiet. I enjoyed the big TV but was disappointed I couldn't stream from YouTube to do yoga.The gym was small but had everything needed.Will probably stay here again due to convenience of the location to my office in Houston.”

“The things I like to know when reviewing a hotel is that it has free breakfast. It has a little of everything but small. I have zero complaints because it was free and I'm a picky eater. I was able to find something to eat. The second is free parking. Easy to find parking and it seemed safe. I felt like I could have left and come back and still found parking. I know previous reviews showed that they recommended the thermostat but you have full control of the thermostat. I slept great. The room was designed well where you can still walk and move. The plus to this hotel and why I would stay here again is the hourly shuttle. The shuttle took us to the Houston Rodeo and runs hourly until 10 pm. Great help for my 75 year old mother to see the Houston Rodeo.Walkability: Able to walk to the NRG stadium safely with zero problems.”

“The general manager fired the front desk manager and I got my upgrade for free. So the review I shared a couple of days ago was resolved!HelloI have been a Royal Sonesta loyal customer for 8 years. I'm staying at the Royal Sonesta Hotel Galleria in Houston, Texas. I'm a silver member & silver members are eligible for free upgrades. This hotel decided not to honor the member's silvers benefits and they charged me for the upgrade. I asked the front office assistant manager, Vusal Yusifov, for help. I explained to him that I was silver member and this manager was rude and very not helpful at all. He told me I didnt qualify for the upgrade and I would have to call customer service for help. I called customer service and customer service representative verify that I was eligible for upgrade and she called the hotel to ask for the upgrade but she was denied as well. I asked for the General Managers name and email address for this hotel and they would not share the information. The bottom line is that I'm staying here for 4 nights and I basically got screwed out of my upgrade and they are charging me for the upgrade. I highly encourage anyone who is considering staying here - DO NOT STAY HERE. This hotel is running a "PONZI Scheme - SCAM".I will never spend my hard earned $$$ here ever againKevin T.”

“Only issue was the shower the door opens on opposite side of faucet so you have to have cold water sprayed on you to turn shower on due to sliding door not being on faucet side doesn't open that was kinda annoying but service was great helpful place is very clean and nice ?”

“We enjoyed our 3-night stay at the Comfort Suites. Some people complain that it is old and tired which is true - but what do people expect for the price. We found the rooms to be spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is basic but at least there is a breakfast! There’s a small gym, laundry, conference room and supplies. It’s also well located within Houston. Staff were super helpful we found. I would stay here again without hesitation.”

“Red carpet on hornwood drive is a perfect place to stay. The rooms are clean housekeeping are very polite. Front desk are very polite.. It's a very quiet community.. I have lived here for one year.. I really like it I give 5 star ?, more if I could . Everything is in walking distance, plus Metro, bus cross the street .. what more can u ask for ....Rooms: The rooms are very clean the bathrooms are clean and the bed you're very clean.... I'm a very clean person so those are the things that I look for... I would give a ten star this is worth staying at...”

“Great hotel room at an affordable price. Comes with the most basic necessities and everything is nice and clean. Hotel staff is very friendly as well. I had a pleasant stay for a couple of days. “Brand new (only four months now) hotel with awesome facilities - an outdoor pool, free laundry, fitness center, family room, outdoor BBQ. Rooms are nice and we'll equipped. My family stayed in a two bedroom suite and had our own kitchen. My only complaint would be that the water pressure is a little low in the showers so it takes longer to wash. Other than that, everything was awesome and I would recommend.”

“A friend stayed 2 nights at this location recently. On the second morning, she was having trouble with her debit card and the issuing bank. The morning manager was very understanding and, thankfully, allowed her the extra time she needed until things were figured out. Many other hotel chains are not as understanding, and we were very grateful for the extraordinary hospitality.”
