Well RIP to the old Shannon's.... This "new company" is NOWHERE close to the Shannon's we use to know. We (as a family et al - parents, brother, sister) HAD been going to Shannon's for over 25 years; since I was a kid... no one in my family will ever be going back!! This new company has prioritized money over their patients (which I can understand to a certain degree, it is a business) but it has become increasingly obvious with the way you are treated as a customer and the INSANE amount of money they charge you for a simple office visit.. also, they don't seem to care about customer service at all!! This new company, is an absolute disgrace to the legacy that WAS "Shannon Animal Hospital". I had initially held off writing this review upon learning of the "changes" taking place.. I genuinely tried to give this new group a chance and give them a shot.. but now regret allowing this type of "corporate" veterinarian practice to be conducted.. I guess I'm not the only one left feeling this way, the other reviews all appear to speak to similar experiences... We have already found a new vet, and I recommend everyone do the same. TO NEW PATIENTS seeking care at Shannon's, be ready to hear their new tag-line.. "this doctor requires blood work"... (EVERY single time) for any and everything... brace your bank account also; YEARLY VIST that costs $70 elsewhere will run you over $150 if not more. You've been warned. To the company now running this place... I hope you read this; I hope you are disgraced by your business practices and that your happy with tarnishing a once shinning and respected reputation. SHAME ON YOU!! To the old Docs (Veterinarians) and staff that use to run it, I do truly hope that you all are enjoying retirement; you all have earned it!! You have also earned a big THANK YOU, for taking care of all of our fury family members over the years!!! YOU ARE MISSED!!

I was charged 2 times for the same service. I talked with the owner and she didn't care. I talked with several people and it's all the same. No answer when you call. The owner acked like she cared, but apparently not. She should have fired the employee that treated me so bad and charged me money that I did not owe. Dr Vree should go somewhere else that he would be appreciated.

I've been going to Shannon for years....Both Dr.Brown and Dr.Adkins have helped me through many cat and dog issues...lots of history there...I can't even begin to tell you how much I trusted and loved them. But as we all aspire to do they have both have retired. The clinic now has a very much more corporation feel with the new doctors...I'm sure they are fine people...but now appointment scheduling is way far out...prices and package deals are spoken about...I'm sorry but you feel like it's more about the money than your pet. Covid and their interior remodel keeps you from going in with your pet...I understand this...but gosh it's hard to send in your scared pet alone when you have no idea who and how the doctor is with your pet...and in my case they wanted to keep him all day to get a urine sample even after I provided one. I also understand having to answer questions for new record set ups...I get that...but when you go back 4 weeks later with the same issue and you have a pet in distress you really don't want to have to re answer all of those same questions again...(yes! he's still 8 years old!)...you just want them to get your pet inside and looked at. I've had dealings with both the new doctors and they do always either come out to your car or phone you to discuss treatment...so I'm sure they are doing the best they can with their situation. Bottom line...the kind well oiled machine of Brown and Adkins is gone...I think corporate needs recruit addition vets to keep up with this practice, they seem to really be overworked...not sure what my plan of action is just yet...feeling a little lost.

I have been taking my Pomeranian here for seven years, ever since we got her, and the vets at Shannon have always been amazing, & the staff very courteous. And even through Covid and the restrictions they added they were always awesome and I felt like they really cared about my pet and taking care of her! Then I got notified that the two vets were retiring and there would be changes, which is expected. The office definitely could use some upgrades so it was understandable. However, in November I called to schedule my pets annual shots, and after holding for forever (which had never happened before) I got the appointment done, albeit for later than typically requested but, hey, changes, right? Then I get a call Barrón the vet, but was working so they left a voicemail saying they had to reschedule because there was an issue with booking and they changed the date for me. It was frustrating enough because it was after the date when she had to get her shots. And, it was changed before getting verbal confirmation from me that it was ok. But, I was like OK, new docs, so I left it. Then I get a call the week of the new appointment to switch the appointment because of scheduling issues. At this point I was already fed up, so I immediately called them upset and told them there is no way you're rescheduling this appointment after you literally just rescheduled me. The receptionist was like "oh yeah, I forgot that I had already rescheduled you.... I'm sorry. That's fine we'll go ahead and keep your appointment," and I got frustrated and I told Her, this is extremely unprofessional. Is this going to keep on happening in the future? And she said, we don't think this so, there was just an issue with the new vets schedule and her vacation and days off weren't entered in the calendar so the other doctor is double booked. (How is that my fault or my pets?) I ended up just cancelling the appt because of uncertainties with my own schedule, since Shannon now books over a month out for appts due to renovations. But, we have been going here for years!! So, I called today to reschedule, over a month out, and once I confirm the appt, the same receptionist tells me, oh and your appointment will be $250. I was like WAIT WHAT. Her annual visits are never over $100 for just the vaccinations. But she informed me that the new vets like to do bloodwork and expected that. But she begrudgingly gave me an estimate without the bloodwork and it was still $150. So I asked why in the world it was still at least double what it usually is and she said because they now require an office visit charge of over $70 when you come in to just get a vaccination. I can't believe how quickly this office has gone downhill. Not only did they lose two amazing vets but the hometown feel and service is completely gone, and has been replaced by unprofessional and incompetent staff that want to nickel and dime you for basic services. I can only imagine the exorbitant charges if my pet were to have an actual emergency. Look elsewhere for a vet, the new Shannon Animal Hospital is not living up to its predecessor.

I took my dogs in for their yearly vaccinations and it was my first visit since the business sold. I was charged a $72 “office visit” fee for each dog that has never been charged before. It doubled the cost of the visit, a visit that took an hour and a half. For shots. I hope the extra money was worth it because I will never go back. $400 for yearly vaccinations for two dogs is obscene.
