“I have been a member of FBC Midland for many years. By plugging in and finding opportunities to grow and volunteer, I found my church home. I have made many connections and friends over the years. God is doing awesome things with this church and to Him, FBC gives all the glory.”

“I went here for a few years.I went to an after school program here around the age of 10 here and I think Primrose is overall a pretty good daycare and Montessori school. If you are looking for a good Montessori school, I would look into Midland Montessori School because of some of the reasons I’m about to mention here. The teacher turnover rate is surprisingly high, I had 4 teachers in the course of 1 year which is kinda crazy. It’s probably just the after school thing but I have some more complaints. There aren’t any locks on the bathroom doors (is this even legal?). In my first week I went to take a tinkle and I opened the door to see a kid taking a dump. Another thing is that is a lack of punishment. You could get away with almost here. You could punch someone in the face and give them a bloody nose and the most that would happen is the teacher pulls you to the side and says that’s not very nice. (Disclaimer, I never punched someone in the face but I’ve seen it happen). Probably the most violent thing I’ve done here is while playing some gun game, my friend and I made working crossbows with rubber bands and some plastic toys that could shoot plastic rods 30 feet. We did this for quite a bit, (not sure how the teachers didn’t stop us, flinging plastic rods through the air at 60 feet per second.) until I hit a kid in the forehead (whoops). The kid started crying and we somehow didn’t get punished even though we totally had it coming. The teacher didn’t even talk to us for being so reckless. Kids would throw actual traffic cones at us and that’s how I ended up with a lot of bruises (nothing happened to the kids). I also don’t appreciate the new administration. The director quit and the new director was very strict on the teachers, she also shut down the after school program with very little notice so I switched over to Mrs. Irene’s childcare who I also wrote a review on. All the kids over the age of 8 or so are very nice, the kids younger are either complete psychopaths or nice curious kids. The food they have there is pretty mediocre and they have quite a bit of outside time. Anyways to sum it up, I would definitely recommend Midland Montessori over this place for any real educational purposes. Daycare and after school wouldn’t be that bad, the facilities are fairly recent and actually look like a school and not an abandoned house (looking at you Mrs. Irene’s). My final complaint is the noise although the baby rooms are very quiet. All the daycares/after schools I’ve been too are very loud though so i guess it just is a part of having lots of disorderly kids with nothing to do. I’m probably going to update this sometime in the future. Shoutout to Mrs. Noche even though I doubt she still works here due to turnaround rates and such.”

“Melinda has been great, I am a worry wart so I call often to check on my son, he is very happy there - of course morning drop offs are hard for him, but he seems very happy everyday when I pick him up. I love how clean the classes are and I love how they have Library time and keep to a schedule. I remember his 1st day I asked do you like your new school, he yelled YES!!”

“I had to bring my daughter in to this pre-k in the middle of the year because of issues with her past daycare, the YMCA. I was reminded time and time again why Christian leaders in a child’s life are essential and such a blessing.Miss Shayla is so much fun! She is perfect for teaching toddlers. My daughter is spunky and bold and it’s such a relief to find a place where she is supported and encouraged.I can’t speak highly enough of this place and I can’t wait to get my son in here when he is 3. I had a feeling like I was dropping my daughter off with family. From the teachers to the director to the after care and “specials” teachers, God placed these people in our lives in a time when I begged Him to help me find a place where my daughter would be loved. And that is exactly what He gave us.Biggest thank you to Heritage Preschool. What you’re doing, and how you’re doing it, matters. You are a great blessing to my family, an answered prayer!”

“I came to this facility looking for childcare for my son, and I had a very good impression from the moment that I walked through the door. I was happy to see how clean that this facility was, how welcoming they were, and how they had things organized for the children. I looked at 8 other daycare centers, but ended up choosing this one in the end. It was very hard to find good childcare here in Midland! Either places are booked and have waiting list, or are just not what you are looking for. I am very pleased with my decision, and I look forward to my son starting here. Give this place a try, they will give you a peace of mind, and you will find the right daycare center for your child here.”

“I used to attend this place.I went here for a few years, I was the oldest kid there for the last 1 and a half years there. I don’t really have any experience with the preschool/baby area but any of the areas where it was just baby daycare was nice. (Pretty hard to mess that up). The teachers there are very nice, Mrs. Irene doesn’t seem the jolliest person I’ve ever met though. (Do they read these???). My only complaint is that it’s pretty loud but that’s just what happens at day cares a guess, noise isn’t getting any better at other daycares. I would wear earplugs though (if you work here you know who I am :). If you work here say hi to Mrs Sally, Mrs Amanda, Mrs Kiesha (forgot how to spell it), the lady who raises the flags every morning, and the lady with the ponytail.) Food there is great and the kids get plenty outside time, sometimes they don’t let you out if it rained the night before, or the temperatures were below 50ish degrees. I’ll probably update this review in the future, bye!”

“Little Stars has been a life-saver for me and my daughter! She has some anger issues and they have been very patient and kind with her whereas other learning centers have kicked her out. Within 3 months of her being there I have seen a complete change. She is so happy and so am I! I would recommend this center to anyone with little ones.”

“*long post!!*A lot of reviews on here are very untruthful. I’ve had an amazing experience working here so far. The teachers here are great at what they do, very well mannered and classy women. I was trained professionally and the owners here work super well with you and are incredibly nice. Through out my experience I really can’t say anything bad about this place. The team work is incredible, the kids are well taken care of, treated fairly and with kindness, the place is well cleaned and taken care of. Some reviews state that the place was “dirty/unorganized.” Daycares aren’t perfect! We work with children guys!I’m overall satisfied with my job, it can be very stressful and tiring but at the end of the day, I’m prepared for another great adventure for the next day. When I first moved to Midland, I was very stressed about finding a job. I had several nursing interviews lined up and multiple job offers but out of all of them, this one caught my eye. The owners, Lynn and Leah, welcomed me with open arms, made me feel comfortable here as I have severe anxiety, offered me a position and allowed me to show them my work ethic and ability to do the things that need to get done by the end of the day. It’s a wonderful environment and great learning experience for everyone. I stepped out of my comfort zone and started taking care of children (which I swore I would never do unless they were my own lol!) but I don’t regret any decision I’ve made so far. I personally love this job, the kids, my coworkers, and I highly recommend this place for your kids!”

“We love this camp! All of the staff is amazing and truly cares about each and every kid. I love that there are many different activities throughout the day such as chapel, crafts, story time, snacks and outdoor time. Would highly recommend this camp and school.”
