Sigh...a year later staying in the same area but this time across the street. Last year it was TownPlace, which I did not enjoy, and this year is more of the same plus more but at Residence Inn.The building, inside and out, is dated. Some things have been replaced while others are in dire need of refurb, like furniture. My issues during this stay were: Room set to heat when it was as 80-degree day, making it 75 inside. It took 5 hours on cool and set to 50-degrees to drop the temp down 4 degrees to 71.Day 2, the hot water stopped working in the room, forcing me to take a shower in another room on the opposite wing of the hotel. A bit of an inconvenience after spending 4 hours going back and forth for work purposes. This is all on top of the minor things you definitely notice as a big collection with the building (sunken floor/carpet in the halls, nicks or paint scuffs on the wall, an outside door near your room that won't unlock).

The is the second, Residence Inn I've stayed in in the last 2 weeks. After this one, I won't be staying in another one. The place had been beaten up pretty badly, and renovations are badly needed. They charged for parking in a parking lot that deserves no parking charges, and there aren't any parking spots anyway. They charged every room for parking even though not every room had a vehicle to park. The breakfast was good, though.

Horrible experience, go ANYWHERE else. Stayed one night on a cross-country road trip. No hot water in the showers, very low water pressure as well.I was charged $108 without consent or warning as a one-night pet fee for having our 8 lb maltipoo stay with us. No written pet policy, no warning about extra fees at booking or check-in, just an outlandish fee on my credit card 3 days after we left.Tv wouldn’t connect to streaming services, gave up after 30 minutes of trying. They also offer the roughest toilet paper I’ve ever experienced, and the water tastes terrible, even after filtering. We were asked to remove our dog from the lobby while we ate breakfast (powdered eggs, only available because I requested scrambled eggs despite there being a sign offering them on the breakfast buffet) even though they advertise as pet-friendly.During check in on a 40° night, the front desk attendant prioritized filling the ice water with MORE ice rather than check us in. Again, did not mention the pet fees he would charge us with, but chattered away about being empty on the weekends in this hotel (I wonder why.) Terrible hospitality all around.Rooms: Shower is a joke—no pressure and no hot water. I can’t believe we paid to stay here.Food & drinks: Gross powdered eggs at breakfast

I admit that I typically enjoy my travels because I put time and effort in beforehand. But sometimes it's extra special. Not only was this Residence Inn very beautifully appointed, the front desk rep, Eric, was a delight. Professional, funny, charismatic and knowledgeable about the Marriott brand, he took great care of my companion and me. His kind of customer service makes guests return again and again. Thanks for going the extra mile Eric. We love Marriott stays!Rooms: Rooms are super clean, first on my list, spacious with a simple elegance.

Their breakfast was the best quality, had lots of options, and the cleanest that I’ve had at hotels in a while. Staff were friendly and room was clean.

I want to personally thank management for helping when I had issues especially Vanessa as I have been a long term resident ... great costumer service and a friendly smile whenever I come through the lobby ... it's good to know some hotels care about their guest !

D'ANNA was awesome. She helped me so much by helping fax something and print out another item. This hotel is great.

We had an extended stay here and while it has a few flaws, we were generally happy with service, breakfast, and front desk responsiveness.

At check in, front desk attendant was coughing violently without covering her mouth. After arriving to my room, I found that i did not have any soap in my shower, just a bottle of shampoo and 2 bottles of conditioner. I made use of the tiny bar of hand soap for my shower. There was hair in the shower from the previous guest. Also, there was dirt in my bed. Not a lot, but enough it stood out. Not sure if sheets were changed or if the chamber maid was dirty when she made the bed.I've stayed in worse hotels, but I've stayed in better, too. For the rate I was charged, I would not recommend this hotel.

Check in and go to room. Of course the ice maker has not been turned on yet but I need ice.Go to front desk and told their ice maker is broken and I can walk across the street and get ice at that hotel.Unlike others that have complained I have got hot water in the shower but it is extremely hot and can’t be cooled down. The water pressure is miserable and the handle on the toilet is about to come off any time.TV quits working at times every day of my 5 days. When I call down to desk am told they can move me to another room because there is no maintenance person there. The second elevator is broke and another guest said it’s been broken at least a month. The one that does work is extremely slow.I don’t know how Marriott allows them to have their name on this dump. Won’t stay here again.

I cannot figure out how this is a three star hotel. It is sad that only the manager can answer questions, found this out after the desk staff finally got off their cell phone, and acknowledged my presence. This place is in DESPERATE need of renovation. Walls scraped, tile floors broken, shower luke warm at best but mostly cold with a shower head that is in desperate need of replacement, toilet seat barely hanging on the toilet, shower doors quite difficult to operate, no exhaust fan in bathroom and light quite dim, wi-fi iffy when it isnt slow, TV is even slower with almost functional remote do not use internet TV its just a buffer load screen, AC kept waking us up, smallest and hardest king sized bed I've ever slept in, and breakfast is better anywhere else as cage free eggs obviously from a bag and no Gluten-Free options as listed. What I am guessing is a cutting board tossed behind the sink, coffee maker and coffee in the room but nothing to catch the coffee in. The closest thing is a HEB. Charged for open non-securred parking in a handicapped slot.So not worth the $129 my reservatuon quoted nor the $150 I was charged (imneties that nobody could explain best I could figure is the market we didnt use)Next time, I will travel the extra 20 minutes to go to Odessa. This is by far the lowest par by Marriott.

Well first of all this is my second time within two weeks staying here and I must say , I hate it here I’ve stayed here before and had no problems… however this is ridiculous during my first stay I had no hot water , $200+ to not even have hot water is ridiculous to me , second time staying here and there were mice in my room! As soon as the lights went out that’s all I heard ! There’s no accommodations for the inconvenience they just switch you rooms a million times and call it a day… DONT stay here … I’m still waiting to be contacted about my first visit that was hot water less …..
