I absolutely love Primrose! From the director, to kitchen staff, teachers, and support staff. They have welcomed our family since day one and have been so friendly every day. They are realistic about child behaviors, easy to work with, and truly loves my babies! We have been there almost a year and I can say wholeheartedly they are great people. We don’t have family here & they are our support system and an answered prayer to our family. I highly recommend them!

I went here for a few years.I went to an after school program here around the age of 10 here and I think Primrose is overall a pretty good daycare and Montessori school. If you are looking for a good Montessori school, I would look into Midland Montessori School because of some of the reasons I’m about to mention here. The teacher turnover rate is surprisingly high, I had 4 teachers in the course of 1 year which is kinda crazy. It’s probably just the after school thing but I have some more complaints. There aren’t any locks on the bathroom doors (is this even legal?). In my first week I went to take a tinkle and I opened the door to see a kid taking a dump. Another thing is that is a lack of punishment. You could get away with almost here. You could punch someone in the face and give them a bloody nose and the most that would happen is the teacher pulls you to the side and says that’s not very nice. (Disclaimer, I never punched someone in the face but I’ve seen it happen). Probably the most violent thing I’ve done here is while playing some gun game, my friend and I made working crossbows with rubber bands and some plastic toys that could shoot plastic rods 30 feet. We did this for quite a bit, (not sure how the teachers didn’t stop us, flinging plastic rods through the air at 60 feet per second.) until I hit a kid in the forehead (whoops). The kid started crying and we somehow didn’t get punished even though we totally had it coming. The teacher didn’t even talk to us for being so reckless. Kids would throw actual traffic cones at us and that’s how I ended up with a lot of bruises (nothing happened to the kids). I also don’t appreciate the new administration. The director quit and the new director was very strict on the teachers, she also shut down the after school program with very little notice so I switched over to Mrs. Irene’s childcare who I also wrote a review on. All the kids over the age of 8 or so are very nice, the kids younger are either complete psychopaths or nice curious kids. The food they have there is pretty mediocre and they have quite a bit of outside time. Anyways to sum it up, I would definitely recommend Midland Montessori over this place for any real educational purposes. Daycare and after school wouldn’t be that bad, the facilities are fairly recent and actually look like a school and not an abandoned house (looking at you Mrs. Irene’s). My final complaint is the noise although the baby rooms are very quiet. All the daycares/after schools I’ve been too are very loud though so i guess it just is a part of having lots of disorderly kids with nothing to do. I’m probably going to update this sometime in the future. Shoutout to Mrs. Noche even though I doubt she still works here due to turnaround rates and such.

We had a great experience at Primrose. I felt like my kids were safe and happy with these teachers. The teachers are great quality and there is turnover but likely due to low wages. (please pay your teachers more!) Our experience in Midland was enriched by our time at Primrose. Thank you to all the staff and teachers especially Ms Randolph, Ms. Sapphire, Ms. Beltran, Ms April, Ms Carolina. Special thanks to Ms Randolph for saving my daughters life when she choked on some bread. She was well prepared and acted swiftly. I will forever be indebted to you Ms Randolph! The school has good covid and sickness protocols. There are cheaper options in Midland but this place has quality curriculum! My kids are now ahead of their peers academically! No school is perfect, but overall we had a good experience with Primrose. Thank you!!

Our daughter has been at primrose for two years. Since being there it has mostly been great, we had one little issue with a teacher assistant but they handled it immediately. Since then they have made sure our daughter is taken care of. She does really well there and the teachers really care. They have helped with potty training, teaching colors, numbers and shapes. They read books, paint and have a bunch of different activities through out the year. They are very structured and have a certain way to do things. There are some reviews talking about bad kids, it’s a daycare, not a behavior specialist. Some kids need more attention and it’s not fair for the rest of the other kids who behave to have to put up with a kid who has behavioral issues. I actually appreciate that they don’t put up with bad kids that take attention away from the rest of the kids. It’s a great option for people looking for a day care in Midland. My biggest complaint is that I wish we got more pictures of there activities since we don’t get to spend too much time with our kiddo during the day.

Terrible. As someone else put it money doesn't mean quality. After Covid we had to search for another daycare because the one we used for the past 5 years was not reopening. Comparing to our old daycare I was not impressed with the care provided. Not much you can do when other daycare programs have year long waitlists. If your child pushes boundaries, is energetic, or honorary they consider this bad behavior. If you child has sensory issues they do not try to help or understand. They send the child home in the middle of the week often. Once you've paid childcare for the week they don't care. This daycare only wants to take your money. They claim they have trained teachers and caregivers who want to help your child grow but in reality they lack the experience and have a big turnover rate. It is more important to them to back up teachers than reach out or speak to parents/guardians. They know that they have another child on the waitlist to take the open spot.

Our son has attended since he was 4 months old. He is now 3 years old, and I am just blown away by his knowledge and skills he has acquired at Primrose. My husband and I both work and we read nightly to him and do what we can, but it is evident most learning is from Primrose. We go on walks and he tells me about acorns, we read at night and he knows what shadows are. He holds his pencil correctly, and is socially, emotionally, and academically doing so well! He has empathy, and is gentle with animals, he apologizes and understands when others are sad. It is just amazing. We highly recommend.

We are so happy with Primrose and grateful the school is reopening to parents. They hosted an Easter egg hunt and Easter bunny which was a nice welcome back! Our daughter has been attending since she was 12 weeks old and now she’s 20 months. We’ve been so grateful for the excellent care from all the staff!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVERPrimrose School doesn’t care about kids, they care about not loosing teachers.Since Sep 2021 until Jan 2022 they kicked out more than 10 (!) kids telling them one same story: “your kids behavior is inappropriate”Really? WHAT YOU GUYS SHOULD DO?They don’t want to TEACH, but providing food and NEVER be involved.Mrs Shawn Hodge is not a manager of a school, who should think about kids FIRST.She is a businesswoman who build up a comfortable and obedient place for teachers and herself.MONEY doesn’t mean QUALITY.If you love you kids think twice.

My grandson attended PreK at Primrose. He will attend K also. This facility is amazing with wonderful teachers and staff. They are so friendly with a big smile when we pick him up daily. The meals are nutritious. Our grandson likes most of the meals. We are blessed to have Primrose in Midland.

My son has been going to Primrose at Westridge since he was about 3 months old and he's now about 19 months old. His teachers have been a part of my "village" the whole time and I cant thank them enough. They have helped calm my fears, they were patient with him as he spit up every time he had a bottle, and now when he acts like an alligator in a death roll when you try to change his diaper, they are still patient and understanding. He comes home having learned something new so often, they have regularly done art projects since he was an infant, and weather permitting, they spend time outside every chance they get. We are relocating elsewhere, and one of the things I will miss most about Midland is Primrose at Westridge. The teachers here are wonderful, the administration is great, through the app I am able to keep up with what he's doing throughout the day, and everyone is responsive. Hands down worth the cost, I'd pay it any day.

We started care at Primrose in August of 2020, right smack dab in the middle of COVID. When all of their “contractual obligations” had left them high and dry when they laid off all of their workers from the oilfield. When we first signed our son up for Primrose, I knew what had brought them to Midland, three major oilfield companies, so after we had toured and we’re getting ready to send the first payment to hold our sons spot, I specifically asked, IN WRITING, if our sons position in their facility would be at all compromised when the oilfield came back. I’ve been in the oilfields all of my life, I know how this works. It always comes back. I was assured that it would not be an issue, that once enrolled my son would have a home with them. Well that turned out to be a false statement in the highest regard! We’ve already purchased uniforms for the upcoming school year! We dealt with their crazy covid rules and their teachers exposing my child to covid while sending us all home to quarantine for two weeks, while STILL paying tuition!!! Whatever you do, don’t enroll your child here. All they care about is money. They don’t have a care in the world about the trauma little ones face by being moved around to different childcare centers.

I can't say enough good things about this school. We have been enrolled since their grand opening in 2019, and the staff is incredible. The teachers have been so dedicated to giving the best care to my child, and it is so amazing to me how much he has grown during his time here. We will never use any other center for our children.

We moved to Midland in the fall of 2019. We needed childcare and went with Primrose Westridge. The new daycare had just opened prior to us enrolling our daughter. We trust the Primrose name and have been happy with the care. We have since had another baby and he has been with Primrose since September 2020. My husband and I are both doctors. He is an orthopedic surgeon and I am an OB/GYN. We depend on childcare to do our jobs. That saying Primrose is sponsored (?not sure if that is the correct name) by several different oil companies. We were just told that our youngest child is no longer enrolled at the childcare due to the oil companies taking precedence. They have given us less than a month notice to find other childcare options. Needless to say we are extremely disappointed and heartbroken that our child's care who we love and cherish have cast us out. We are just as important to the community as the oil companies. We help service oil workers who have injured themselves on the job or deliver their babies. It is extremely disappointing and morally questionable.
