I had a great experience selling here and have come in a few times before to shop. The staff was kind and I appreciate that they let you see what they wanted to buy before committing. They also folded everything back unlike other locations that return your items unfolded.

Lowballer's for sure! Customer service needs major improvement! Plato's closet has guidelines to follow when bringing in clothes. It needs to be washed, folded neatly, no plastic bags. That's fine I can't take my time and do that, but y'all clearly don't take time to give the customer unwanted items back neatly. I picked up my unwanted items and they were unfolded and wrinkled. I brought them in freshly washed, folded neatly and unwrinkled! I also don't think y'all should automatically keep the wanted items and have them out on the floor ASAP because a customer can change their mind or wants to negotiate for more money. Y'all need to keep the wanted items nearby so the customer can see what y'all kept. That's not good business practices and I will see if it's legal as well!

Inconsistent, ill informed, rude and worthless staff. This whole business plan is to purchase clothes! Going in three times this week and for the third time getting told “We are too busy to buy today.” No one was in the store at 12:00 on a Sunday. I have absolutely no problem with rules but set them and keep them consistent. This location moves the “rules needle” daily and depending on how much work they (the paid staff) feels like doing! It’s absolutely mind blowing this location is still in business with employees that are supposed to provide customer service… What a thought?! They have officially lost me as a paying customer but also for selling (haven’t even been able to see to them after three attempts) going forward my clothing will go to goodwill. This franchise owner has some serious work to do on the staffing and rules front because it’s a joke right now.

This is the most worthless inconsistent franchise of Plato's I've ever encountered!! All their employees are rude, ill informed and have zero give a shits about customer service! Mind blowing when their WHOLE business plan revolves around buying clothes. Three times this week I did what I was told and then show up to get told something completely different! I came in today and was told "we are too busy for buybacks today" Sunday at 12:00. Go figure, yet another establishment in the Permian that employed people to NOT do their job!! Set your rules and keep them the same! This location constantly moves the "rule needle" to their level of how much they want to work that day. Great, outstanding job Plato's of midland I will never be a purchasing customer again or give you one bit of my clothing to buy. It will go to goodwill or in the trash because I will never accept being treated the way your franchise and it's employees willingly choose to treat people!

Kinda interesting to read all the sour comments about selling at Plato’s. Had a great experience selling this week, I was offered $250 for a tote of items. I think the main thing is to be realistic about the clothing your trying to sell there. You can’t expect to get top dollar selling brands that don’t hold value. For example Lululemon holds value better then Nike in athletic wear, and Rock Revival holds valve better then Levi’s in denim. I love this Plato’s for selling and shopping, always good deals to be found. I would just recommend not getting your hopes up when you go to sell Forever 21 and other fast fashion type brands.

If I could give them a 0 stars, I would but I have to at least choose 1 star to proceed with the review. I wish I would have read reviews before taking them my items. The give you next to nothing for brand new expensive clothing, mind you with tags still on them, on top of having horrible customer service. Do not waste your time, you'll have a better outcome selling anywhere else.

Worst place ever. Took a whole bag with brand new season items with the tag still on it (valued around $200) and they only took a pair of jeans and a jacket and offered me $11. This place is a waste of time.

They will take most of your shoes or cloths and give u the littlest of money, they took 7 pairs shoes of mine and only gave me 35 bucks so 5 bucks per shoe not even selling online is that cheap worst place to sell your stuff don't even go there to sell ur stuff it's a waste of money and time. This business works on ripping you off to make their profit, hoping yall at the community help me not let them make there money easily. Please let this company fall they are scamming us badly and I heard the workers take your stuff for themselves even reducing ur profit even more. In the photo you see down below they took all the pairs of shoes and left me with my sandals. For only 35$ they gave me trust me it's not worth it at all, this company is the worst of the worst and I hope yall understand why I'm upset. Everyone struggles but they help you struggle more.

I took in over $400 worth of nice clothes. Some still had the tags on them! All the jeans I took them were between $50-100 and they gave me less than $5 for each of them. They only took about $150 worth yet gave me $31.42 for them. I get it’s a resale shop, but they could at least give a little more for the clothes, especially with them being nice. Seriously considering going and buying them all back and selling them somewhere else. The worst Plato’s closet I’ve been to!

Employees should be happy that you're their. Need to inform customers of their "Policies".I called to find out details of how they buy clothes, no phone personality. I gathered up several bags and drove to the other side of town, when I get their, I'm informed that they only take 1 bag at a time???Made me feel like I was a disruption to their day! After I waited an hour, they insulted me on what they were offering, which BTW, they only wanted to cherry pick what I brought... DON'T waste your time! Sell your things online thru other services and get what you deserve vs being greeted by rude employees who don't understand what CUSTOMER SERVICE IS!
