Bedazzled by the crystal, candy colors through the window and array of gorgeous tapestries, glistening glass decor after a a spectacular dining experience @ "Cork & Pig", we decided to check the hours & come back at an earlier time as they were closed. We made a "special" trip" from an hour away as I was enchanted & the decorum seemed suited to my taste for lush, posh & colorful. We finished an early dinner & hurriedly dashed in 15 minutes before close. At the counter poised with arms crossed was a pretty, well dressed blonde lady who spoke not a word to us for 5 minutes as we gasped & gingerly picked up cerulean blue glasses to peruse @ price & fully anticipated & were delirious with excitement to purchase & add to my montage of brilliant hues at the casa. Ten minutes transpired & I began just putting items on the counter. She watched as I carefully placed six mini glass vases with faux orchids on the counter, a plate & moved to the area I was, only when I inquired regarding cost as I did not see a tag. With 300$ worth of goodies neatly aligned and credit card poised & tap ready. She begun to silently wrap everything in white tissue. She made the following comment, "You Do realize you have two purples don't you?" Very deep inspiratory, lung expanding breath in & I smiled as she remained expressionless & I said, "Yes & one is solid & the other freckled.." Her look of sincere disapproval was inspiring enough to let her know I love purple & to tell her thank you which prompted a curt, thank you in return. Today I reappeared with renewed vigor & spunk! She had 2 other ladies there, all standing behind what seems as their display case. One lady with longer blonde hair was friendly And greeted me and inquired if I needed help. I said, no, I was just perusing & they whispered amongst themselves & never moved from said post. There were other guests in the store & they just watched. The cheery onlooker uttered a few more niceties but, ultimately decided not buy a single glint of glass. Sadly, pushed the door open not in laden pretty packages. I bid adieux & said with confidence, "Thank you for letting me look again.." The lady from the previous encounter just stared & I heard the chipper one say, "She has been here before?" Yes, certainly I have & a smattering of hospitality would ensure a return trip alas, this is the of this tale...

I’ve been to this store many times and had many pleasant experiences before. However, when I visited the store this time to look for a present, the ladies were being very rude. One of the ladies stared at us unpleasantly and made us very uncomfortable. After browsing through the candles one of the ladies stated, “y’all need to stop fooling around, this is not a place to hangout.” I did not appreciate the tone and attitude that I was given as a customer. I would not recommend coming to this place unless you are willing to experience being extremely uncomfortable.

We had a horrible experience here at Hyacinth. We were casually looking around, and one of the ladies here kept on staring at us. We kept on walking around and smelling the candles, when one of the ladies walked up to us and said to, “stop fooling around” and that “this is not a place to hang out.” We we’re very confused, so we decided to just leave. The ladies here were very rude, and apparently don’t like it when people casually shop around.

I’ve been here before and I had no troubles looking around and browsing the store. All of a sudden, one day, one of the members of staff walked up to my group of friends and told us to stop fooling around and told us to leave simply for browsing and enjoying the items in the store. Will not be coming back.

The ladies were accusing us of fooling around when we were just casually browsing the store and smelling candles when they said that this place isn’t a place to hang out.

The prices in this store are INSANE! You can literally find the same style of decor at TJ Maxx or pierOne for a tenth of the price.
