I returned the car in the condition I received it in and they say I broke the rear window. I returned the car with the rear window just fine.

Horrible customer service by agent behind the counter at Midland Tx airport. Was extremely rude and unprofessional to the point where she was yelling over the counter. Watch out for agent Herlinda behind the counter!!!

Everything was an up charge. Even my husband to drive was more money. The car was not maintained well before pickup. All the tires were different pressure, while one tire was a little low and the light kept coming on. Very annoying I kept having to check if it was flat.

I am a frequent person and visit Midland a lot. Hertz is the first company that I comsider for car rental.

Absolutely ridiculous. I returned the car with a full tank, yet they claimed their system showed only 83%. I even asked the staff to check the car themselves—it clearly had a full tank. I showed them a photo as proof, but they still charged me for fuel. I tried calling the manager, but she didn’t even pick up. It’s extremely frustrating to be charged unfairly. Absolutely zero customer service. I’ll never book a car from Hertz again, and I’d advise others to avoid them too.

Awful return process - more cars than spots to return them to.
charged for 3 gallons of fuel despite refueling to full immediately before returning. Do not recommend Hertz at midland.

I set a reservation 3 weeks prior. When I arrived at the airport, I was told that I had to wait until more cars were retuned and cleaned…they did have cars available that were not what I set a reservation for, but I was still told to wait.
I waited over 45 minutes, and had to rush to a meeting about 2 hours away…but that wouldn’t have been the case if I’d just been rented one of the available cars.
I returned a vehicle yesterday. I lost an item in it. I see on the lost and found site that the item is at the lost and found address, but no one will answer the phone to discuss next steps.

Absolutely no signage regarding where to return Hertz vehicles. Clear sign postings for Enterprise, Budget, Thrifty - but you have to adventure far into the end of the return lot to discover a few, white, faded or completely unmarked Hertz return spaces. Of course, while calling the local counter to receive this information, they did not answer and the line hung up on me twice. They also tried to slap a late return fee on me when I finally brought the keys in as well. Pretty unorganized location and will not ever be using Hertz at this airport again. Poorly managed!

No place to park the returned vehicles. Beware of the extra charges they will try to slip thru on your final bill.

Two weeks ago, I rented a car. The rental itself went fine (other than the long walk to the car and hard-to-read notes, but I let that go). The real issue is my $500 deposit. Why is it still showing as pending in my bank account after TWO weeks?
I tried calling Hertz—of course, no one answers. The automated response tells me to “call my bank.” Total nonsense. I called my bank, and they confirmed there’s nothing they can do—it’s on Hertz.
Bottom line: no live customer service, no answers, and my $500 still tied up. Hertz, if you actually have customer service, feel free to reply with a direct phone number where a real rep (not a robot) will pick up and tell me when I’ll get my money back.
Why am I wasting my time chasing this? Next time, I’ll book with Turo.

I would give negative stars if I could.
This was my 2nd trip out of 4 total to Midland, TX MAF airport that I rented from Hertz and had this issue.
I provided my flight information when booking so, the vehicle should have been available in advance of my arrival. Both time I had to wait for a vehicle.
This time, I had to wait well over an hour for a vehicle. Over a dozen people were in line waiting as well.
Agent said they had cars but the keys had not been brought to the rental counter yet and they were being brought up a couple at a time. It was not because they were being cleaned, the cars were there just no keys to them.
Rent from a different agency if you are travelling to Midland TX MAF Airport!

They obviously do not understand what a reservation is! Made a reservation a week ago, arrive at the airport to find they have no cars to rent! THEN I asked if they could call the other locations and I'll Uber over there and they said no!
