This place has bed bugs. Roach motel, would not recommend. Deserves negative stars, whoever wrote anything good about the beds must be delusional! Always check the corners of your bed!Rooms: Disgusting.

Staff was not Accommodating, short in conversation and did not follow through on their word (changed price from when asked to when signing papers) room did not have some toiletries. Had to wait hrs without toilet paper and when I asked front desk for something like tissue or napkins it seemed as though she was unwilling to help.

The hotel is under renovations. Even so they keep it as clean as possible. When this hotel is finished it will probably be the best one in town. It's huge!! Take advantage of the cheap rate now. They have weekly rates too. They have suites too. It has and indoor pool but it's closed right now. Plenty of parking !!Nearby activities: Close to everythingFood & drinks: They have breakfast till 9am

The breakfast was great! Hopper advertised a pool one of the reasons I booked there. They wait until I get there to tell me the pool is broken has been for a while. Then proceeded to tell me I was supposed to have gotten an email telling me the pool was broken. I'm busy, I don't hang by the computer looking for emails. Plus I never saw the email in my inbox. I could have paid less for the same type of hotel. Change the add!! You can't charge for a pool that doesn't work!Rooms: The door was stuck hard to get into. But it was clean.Walkability: There's not much in walkable distance. A bar or two maybe.Noteworthy details: The Grand Texan Hotel was just that when it was built Grand. I lived in Midland for years. There's alot of memories of GTH beauty pageant's, Birthdays. Wedding anniversary celebrations. There's put put golf, some exercise equipment and the pool with a slide for the fun of it. I moved away. I remember all those great memories and wanted to share that with a native Dallas, I was shocked to see how it had been... Was.

The nastiest hotel I've ever stayed at. Room was completely dirty and smelled like an animal died come to find out housekeeping doesn't do their job at cleaning and left some burger patties that another person left behind which stunk up the whole room. Customer service sucks and this is not a place to bring family in vacation In my opinion. Everyone is so rude and does not care about hospitality. It's probably best to go to motel 6.

Hello, first of all let me start off by saying that I could tell that this place has been renovated in most areas since the last time I stayed here about 3-4 years ago. New ownership or under new management of some sort I believe. Previously it wasn't really worth it, although because of the inexpensive rates and convenience I figured I'd give them another chance, and sure enough they are doing great. These folks take pride in the work they put into this place. There use to be a problem with rodents and things like that but now they have certainly taken care of all the issues from my previous stay. The rooms are very spacious and they don't start their usual room services for cleaning until right around check out time if your staying more than just a day, the long and short of the stay is the staff is very nice, and friendly. They care for the folks that stay at their place because they want you to return and are willing to do whatever it takes to make sure that they take care of all your accommodations. Rooms are clean, and price is just right. Once you've stayed at this place you will definitely return based on price and experience you make while you visit. I give the a 5 star because they in fact care about what other people think, and just know this that if you leave something behind they will hold onto it for you, and give it back to you once you either return or make arrangements to have it shipped back. Either way, they deserve someone taking the time out of their day to give them round of applause. So Great job entire staff, mostly family but nice as can be. Hope to see you guys again in the future. God Bless! Keep up the good work. If I can make only 1 request on a recommendation that would be for the linen to be replaced sometime soon, it seems like the towels have had it and have already served a full purpose. I bring my own however I still use the ones you all provide from time to time, however I thought I would mentioned that is my only request in which I know is a huge expense however that could make a difference. It just seems like those ones have been used and abused already, some of the even seem like they were used to help with a leak or flood of some sort. Hope my comment doesn't offend but just figured someone needs to bring it up eventually, Overall I give you the 5 Stars because I see you make more than the effort to take care of each of your customers, Thanks again.

First of all the sink was clogged and wouldn't go down. I found several bed bug Traps with dead bugs. And they refused to give my deposit back because I started my period in the night while I was asleep.

I really enjoy staying there. Yes it is an older facility, But the place is clean, the staff is friendly and I do not have to pay an arm and a leg just for a place to sleep. If your traveling on a budget I definatly recommend the Grand Texan over some of the other cheaper places in townRooms: Rooms are clean, the Housekeeping staff does a great jobSafety: Definatly feel better there than a few of the other hotels in town

They still have a bed bug infestation. I was in room 370 and found bedbugs in my sons play pen after about two weeks of being there. They switched me rooms then they "sprayed" the room and within 24 hours switched the beds with another room. The front desk sucks as well with poor costumer service. They charged me 100$ on May 5th when I first arrived then charged me another 100$ May 27th. I went up there to tell them they charged me the extra 100$ and the lady wanted to argue with me. Then proceeded to tell me we arent giving the deposit back because the bedding was dirty. I asked her what about the bed bug infestation are you gonna pay for my sons play pen. She wanted to argue then call the cops and kick me out. Their pool isn't even opened and I don't think they gonna open it anytime soon. Like I'm so frustrated with it. Be aware when you stay here especially if you stay extended.

Good place, comfortable and clean. The indoor pool was not working, so that's a downer...I have to edit my review on this one because I stayed again for my second time in less than a week and the room wasn't as clean.The staff was rude

I have MS and need my service dog as I fall and have to relie on him to get me to safety. All though it is illegal and against the 1996 Americans with disability act. This place refused me a room. I did not try to hide a dog or sneak one by I have a tool that allows me onto live. Would they deny a person in a wheelchair.

One of the curtains were broken and I couldn’t do anything to prevent the light to come inside the room at night and early in the morning. The tv remote didn’t work. The pool and kitchen were under maintenance, the bar was close and had to leave the hotel in order to eat and drink false advertisement. Charging ports barely worked. Will not stay here ever again. No wonder it’s so cheap to stay. Would not recommend staying here. On top of that you have to put a 100 deposit. I thought it was 50?!

Nothing grand about this place.All the furniture is chipped and stained. I can write my name on the table in dust.The pool and hottub is closed for maintenance but no one working on them.Door doesn't seal, I can see light through it.There is nothing close to walk and get food.Find someplace else to stay.Very out datedWebsite says 2 restaurants and a bar. Closed down. Feel like a big waste of money staying here
