What a joke this place is. I just needed to pick up a tv that was defective under the manufacturer warranty. Couldn't get anyone to help. Spoke the the "manager" Jorge and he was beyond unhelpful. I wish there was a 0 star option. No wonder electronic store physical locations are going out of business. No priority for the customer.

A friend of mine had geek squad install a stereo in his truck and after seeing their work I wouldn't let geek squad fix my toaster. He paid high dollar for an amp cable long enough to wrap around the whole truck and for some reason they cut it too short and spliced it together with a huge wad of electrical tape under the carpet leaving a lump bigger than a golf ball right under the drivers feet. The whole install looked like it was done by blind crack heads.

When I entered the store in Midland, there were 5 young men wearing Best Buy shirts and standing at the counter at the entrance to the store. I looked at them and at the overhead signs for the different departments. None of the young men spoke to me so I started reading the overhead signs. One of the young men asked me what I was looking for (a security motion camera) and he looked up at the overhead sign and said, "They're over there. I'll have someone come over there to help you. " I went to the motion cameras and NO ONE showed up to help me. Eventually, my husband came into the store to find me. I told him no one would help me so he went to the "pack of five hanging out at the entrance counter and asked if I could get some help. One of the "pack" came over and just stood by me, never saying a word. I was furious and told him so. He then asked "what I wanted". To make a long story short, they did not have what I was looking for so we left the store. As I hobbled out of the store (wearing my walking boot to protect my broken foot) I marveled at the incompetence, rudeness, and lack of professionalism from this group. But what else could I have expected from a "pack" of untrained, uncaring, incompetent individuals.

I bought a tech service plan and cant even speak to a tech. I wanted a simple solution/quote to speed up my older computer and they absolutely refused to allow me to speak with a tech. The solution was I have to drive into the store. JOKE SQUAD not Geek squad

ABSOLUTE CLOWN SHOW These idiots lost my $6500 iMacPro for over a month. When I picked up the iMacPro after repair, I didn't notice the damage because of the package was set on the floor, and the lighting was far overhead. Later I discovered the whole lower edge of the iMacPro was chipped, dented, scratched, and the stand was bent. Total time they had my iMacPro was 45 days. Any attempt to call the Midland BestBuy Store by phone will get routed to a overseas third party who don't know what they are doing, and do not care. Even the third party cannot contact the store. This repair was covered under AppleCare. However, since BestBuy is an authorized 3rd party repair provider for Apple products, Apple has no control over the service or quality of repairs provided to BestBuy customers. ***To their credit the Apple Advisors bent over backwards to help find my iMacPro, and are still helping me to get my iMacPro repaired.*** GeekSquad... What a joke! AVOID AVOID AVOID! If you do not heed this review now, you will remember it later! You have been informed!

They fixed my computer but not my printer remotely. I waited till 12pm. Was supposed to have in home repair between 7am-1:00pm . One said I had appt sent to link to check my status. It says I need to schedule an appointment. I call and they say you have an appointment let me check the status. The operator was great polite and understanding. After a long pause come back to tell me the tech didn't state why but I need to reschedule. Got sent an email for yet another week before they will come along with instructions before my appointment on my printer. I did this before I called them to fix it remotely told them the error code. Told them it wansn' t fixed have me the appointment for today. I actually pay for total tech support but getting what I paid for!!!!! Printer still not fixed same error code I called about!!!! I plan on driving to the store which is 60 miles away from me instead of the closer and bringing the printer with me maybe then they can fix it safe I plan on returning the favor save not telling them I went around them until they tell me they were in their way. They didn't bother telling me mine appt. Was cancelled until I called them!!!

Absolutely ridiculous that I can't get anyone in person on the phone at the local store here in Midland just to find out IF they've finished with their construction so I can go inside their store and shop. BEST BUY you lost an opportunity to sell me a computer due to the fact you're renovating and have been renovating FOREVER AND because I'm tired of having to wait at least 5 minutes on the phone to talk to a live person. The only pleasant thing about this last conversation was that the live person was from Tennessee and not INDIA ! It will be a very long time before I shop at Best Buy again.

Terrible experience with the 800 number and the geek squad. I called to get a quote over the phone gave the details on the item they insisted I needed an appointment. I get to the store and very little was done then I was told we don’t work on this item. A lot of time and energy wasted.

Very unhappy with the service and with the geek squad service. No direct phone number, no way to speak to store representative, long waiting and they just hang up on you.

Was calling to make sure that a data recovery could be done on an HDD cause the website does not on into detail. Multiple calls and no one ever answered.

I went there with a Asus computer that was receiving blue screens due to a problem that I, at the time, was not able to identify. I explained my situation that I wasn’t able to install a fresh version of windows and that the computer would randomly blue screen with a mention of potential hardware damage. The man on the counter said that it shouldn’t be a hardware issue since it is only a one year old computer, but I still said that it would be good to check. The total was 199.99 and with taxes it was around 215 dollars. All I got was a new install of windows and a antivirus called Webroot. I was furious so I decided to do a system checkup myself since I still got blue screens when I downloaded Valorant (a game). I decided to do a windows memory diagnostic and the first thing that comes up was “Hardware problems were detected”. To this day I am trying to fix this computer and I am infuriated that I wasted 215 dollars on a “Total Tech Support” that couldn’t even detect a hardware issue that I even mentioned when giving a proper description. I know better now and I wish I could get a refund since they didn’t fix my issue at all... I am not sure how the refund system will treat me but I will try to communicate this as calm as I possibly can.TLDR:Bad service, they assume things from previous knowledge, and they don’t do a full check up for your pc.
