They did more emotional harm to my child by locking him up in a small room like a prisoner and feeding him jail food. He has no behavioral issues whatsoever. I don't know why they would treat a child this way. I have read up on the laws regarding this type of school and they are out of legal bounds by doing this to my child. I will be reporting the school and the principal to the school board.

I'm very disappointed in this school. I'm a father to a child that doesn't live with me but I am very involved. He was goin to Bj Smith but he's now been transferred to this alternative school. They won't give me any information because they say I'm not in their system. Very rude lady names Crissy is rude and acts like im lying. I askes for a supervisor and she hung up in my face. So Bj Smith didn't transfer court ordered papers to The Learning Center? I been going back and fourth between bj Smith, the learning center and misd. No resolution. No parent should have to go through this! I'm just tryna see how he's been doing since he's been goin to this learning center.

Absolutely awful! This place is making my child become depressed. I am reporting them to the school board! And I will sue them if my child even thinks about hurting himself! He has had NO BEHAVIORAL issues whatsoever, yet they are punishing him at this school anyway in treating him like a prisoner! By the way, parents, they feed the prison food as well if they get sent to the back. Apparently my child was threatened at the school and they didn't inform me. When word got back around to my child that he was being threatened I called the principal to get more information and she said it started a week ago, but she didn't want to tell me because they don't know where the threat was coming from.

I came this morning to enroll my son the elementary staff was excellent they were nonjudgmental they seem to genuinely care about my kid. I feel like I left him in great hands thanks.
