What a horrible experience me and my family just had. We are looking for 4th of July clothes for the next day. My 3 year old son is super into Spider-Man and we found a hat, but there was no Ross tag. The original tag said $7.98, but all the other kids hats are $4.99 with the Ross.
We go to the register and the manager said since there is no Ross tag they have to over charge us and that was going to be $8.99. The manager is Hetha. She is black American. Short curly hair. And we went during the day around 1pm 7/3/24. She was not understanding at all and didn’t want to work with us at all. Very rude and had an attitude the entire time. We were about to spend almost $200 in that store today. We walked out not paying anything because the service was HORRIBLE and son cried when we walked out too. I felt so bad, but I can’t support a business that don’t think of their customers first. I’ve worked in retail for over 10 years and in management. I have NEVER refused to work with a customer to satisfy their needs. I am very disappointed and Ross needs to select better management and employees.

I love Ross. It's one of my favorite stores. I'm happy that their bathrooms are now clean. Would it kill the staff to be pleasant? If you don't like your job, you don't have to show it on your face.

I only gave it two stars due to them carrying name brand items, other than that, the customer service and customer convenience is horrible. I bought three bags of luggage, a small hand held bag (no bigger than a medium size purse), a small roller luggage and a medium roller luggage. The cashier ( black female with glasses) was about to put my medium size luggage in a bag to allow me to better carry it out, being that you can’t take baskets our the door. All of a sudden this overweight Hispanic girl with black hair, stop focusing on her own customer and started focusing on the black cashier/ micro managing her saying that NO luggages are allowed to be bagged. So, I’m like, you expect me to carry out all three luggages by hand? I’m not ready to roll my new luggage on the concrete yet, being that I like to put it on my bed for packing… if I paid for this luggage and it’s NOT oversized and can fit in a bag.. why is it a problem to bag one of my luggages to make it convenient for me? If you’re trying to save on bags then say that. Stop treating every customer with that, the answer is “NO”, attitude, because we are how you guys get your pay checks!!! The security officer saw how wrong she was and made a suggestion and helped put my two small luggages off into the medium luggage; I was able to carry out my luggage by hand rather than having to hold one and roll the others. The security guard needs to be the customer service rep and the manager. If people STOP going to Ross, they’ll be out of business and that’s what needs to happen. STOP GOING!!! I won’t be back.

Every time I go to this location, they have the longest wait time in lines to check out,but they only have 2 registers open. One is only doing returns and exchanges. Last time I waited 30 minutes just to pay for 1 item. This time I waited over ten minutes with only 2 people in line. Worst thing is that the cashiers have no urgency, instead are asking to go on break. Smh.
Years later and its worse. I go shop then see the 100 people waiting in line and I just put everything down and walk out. Saves me money.
