Not crazy about implementation of scan your own setup. Better service needs to be added so you don’t have 60 year old ladies trying to scan 14# of dog food upon checkout. It is bad enough she has to tote out the 14# of dog food into the trunk.You get my point of this example.How about scanning 5 six pack of diet coke for $10? How about that for the new do it yourself push?Starting the customer no service culture. Why even go to the store?This is why Walmart and Amazon are gaining traction with mainstream or traditional brick and mortar customers .

They never have anything in stock but when they do it's expired. Bought a Naked Protein Smoothie and it tasted funny and powdery then I look at the expiration date and it's 3 days over it's date ....

I came in to grab a few things and went to the area for water and saw the Niagara water displayed but it was not signed so how will the customer know the price ?With stores now having limited staff make it convenient for the customer . I asked a colleague if she could tell me the price of the water she told me that she was already helping a customer ,I asked if she could please send someone back to help me she said she would ,didn't happen . I walked to the front of the store and noticed she was bagging up merchandise and had forgot about helping me or getting anyone to help me ,I decided then that since I'm not important to you you don't need me to spend my money here and I left my cart with all my items ....Poor customer service won't work for me .

Went into the store today, the lady behind the customer service desk started yelling at me to put a mask on, tried telling her that I have an underlying medical issue that restricts me from wearing the mask, others were walking in the front door with no mask, mask under their chins and she didn't say anything. She asked about my medical condition, I told her when she signs the hippa forms I'd be glad to discuss them with her. I left, called the store manage and just got push back and excuses. I will be contacting their legal department and never shop there again.

Now this it's customer service! Mr. Albert provides more than just customer service. He is kind and friendly to everyone. Even those he's not helping. I saw this man help an elderly lady by scanning all her items and bagging them in the self checkout lane. Every person that walked by he would say hello to while helping. This gentleman needs to be recognized for his kind nature, warm heart and the ability to make someone happy with a brief conversation. It's been a busy day and I was a little cranky until now. Thank you Mr. Albert! I don't live near this Kroger but I will now come out of my way for this type of warmth. More than service, it is a welcome home.
