My wife and I visited El Rio Grande Latin Market Thursday for the first time! We were buying some food for a get together with some of our Parkside Baptist Church friends! The store is very clean, the quality of food excellent, the staff very friendly and professional! Rodrick, a district manager, helped us in selecting some fajita meat and is truly an asset to this company! The whole store is good. But those self-checkout boxes don't work and they check your items twice to see if anything is missing and make you feel like you didn't check them.

Nice clean store!! Only thing that drives me crazy is they keep the onions and potatoes on the same display table!! This makes the onions rot, and causes the potatoes to spoil! ?. Hope they can fix this! I showed the produce guy the rotten onions but he wasn’t concerned. Not a fan of moldy onions!Goggle it! Training is important!Storing potatoes and onions together will drastically shorten their shelf life. The reason? Onions produce ethylene gas, a gas that causes potatoes to spoil prematurely. Conversely, potatoes' high moisture content can cause onions to turn brown and mushy.

My favorite grocery store. Best frssh produce in town. Best hot flour tortillas, so good. Best fresh made salsas, many to choose from. And their prices beat all the big chain grocery stores.
