“Perky Paws is absolutely amazing. I have been taking my fur babies there since she was 6 months old she is now 11 yrs old. They have walked me through all stages of her life since she is my first fur baby and didn’t know what to expect as a first time pet owner. I now have 3 pups under their care. Everyone from the front desk (Erica) to the techs (Randy) down to the AMAZING vet (Dr. M) and (Dr. Farmer) They have taught me how to properly be the best pet parent I can be. The technician at El Dorado Animal Hospital did it in less than 5 minutes without my baby becoming stressed!My other baby had her teeth cleaned and pulled. “The vet who operates this office is beyond amazing and kind. She has taken care of all four of my animals. We recently had to make the decision to let our 16 year old dog go to doggy heaven. She was patient and kind throughout the whole process. She spent about an hour just talking with us as we grappled with making the difficult decision. She truly is a rare human. She is not the type to suggest procedures or treatments that are unnecessary in order to make money. She is constantly advocating for both fur baby and parents. I have never met a vet with so much open passion for her job and those she serves. If you view your animals like a family member and not just a pet then I recommend taking them to this location. I went through several vet offices before finding this one and I'm grateful to have found it.”

“The whole staff showed attentiveness, professionalism and compassion to our beloved dog when he was brought in for an emergency visit. He unfortunately passed away not soon after. I could tell they truly tried everything they could for our boy in the short time he had left. The staff made sure he was made comfortable and was given loving care right up until the end. “I’ve been going to Virginia Parkway Pet Hospital since Dr Reno took over the practice about 10 years ago. Dr Reno has cared for our English and French Bulldogs and given them outstanding care. Our little Frenchie has an on-going medical issue which has been very challenging to diagnose, manage and care for but Dr Reno has been tireless in her pursuit to help her and to offer treatment options. Dr Reno is very knowledgeable, spends as much time as you’d like explaining what’s going on with your pet and truly cares for your pet. Het office staff is friendly and helpful, particularly Rachel. I can not recommend her more. Five stars!”

However, we might be coming back here the next we have any concerns regarding our furbaby!Dr. Sheffield seemed absolutely caring and enthusiastic! We spoke over the phone regarding our furbaby's health---even though I wished to meet her in person, I understand that she was more than likely busy! Regardless, she went above and beyond explaining the steps we need to take in order to maintain our furbaby's health in tiptop shape!The staff was pleasant and accommodating, we appreciated that. After reading some of the negative reviews, I solely disagree. I think we tend to forget that veterinarians are doctors who had to go through an extensive amount of schooling and they are definitely MUCH MORE knowledgeable than those who do not specialize in that career. They are doing the best they can in aiding your pet's needs! Just thoroughly read what comes with your wellness plans, it's not pet insurance!”
