There isn’t a Trader Joe’s near my home so I don’t shop here often but I just happened to drive by one and decided to stop. I was very surprised by their vast vegan offerings. Their vegan Caesar salad dressing absolutely blew my mind. I couldn’t get home fast enough to try dairy-free Boursin cheese that I bought. Note to self: buy two next time! Some of their frozen foods would be great for busy weeknight dinners plus they have several ready-made lunch options if you’re in a hurry. An improvement they could make would be to have different color labels for vegan offerings so they stand out and maybe dedicate a section to only showcase vegan options. I don’t enjoy being in or walking past meat and dairy departments.

New to the McKinney, Texas area from Huntington Beach, CA as of last summer, 2023, I needed Trader Joe’s for the huge transition after 4 decades in O.C., CA. Several things pleasantly surprised me @ my new locale: many similarities to O.C. especially the O.C. of 40 years ago per all the development happening everywhere!, nice, chill people everywhere I go (southern California is very similar, O.C. in particular…NorCal? Not s’much…) and the array of amenities and offerings includes T.J.’s So happy that I get to shop there again & so I do, often. I also love TJ’s floral selection and the beautiful potted orchids and fresh roses! I gift them often and use them in my art (below is an original painting I created featuring one of my favorite white TJ’s phaeleonopsis orchids, ever!). The McKinney location is another great one, with a sweet, helpful & knowledgeable staff?Thanks for making my new life here in McKinney really great, really appreciate it, y’all!
