My daughter’s transmission went out on her way out of town and on the recommendation of our mechanic we had it towed to The Transmission Shop where we had already spoken with Julio. He had it diagnosed the next day and fixed by the end of the week. Before it was fixed, my husband’s transmission went out on his truck and we went ahead and got it towed there too. Julio was super awesome with staying in communication and getting our vehicles done timely and efficiently. I wouldn’t take my vehicle any where else for a transmission issue. We’re so appreciative to Julio for all of his help with our vehicles. 100% recommend him for all transmission needs!!!

The initial conversation with the shop went great. They picked the truck up quick and the communication was good. Then it went downhill from there. From dragging their feet to getting it diagnosed to overcharging by about $1500 compared to other shops to cutting my exhaust and trying to clamp it which created a bad leak and codes being thrown by the truck. After telling them to box up the parts and give my truck back they magically came down on the price. The work seems satisfactory even though there’s still a small leak at the slip yolk. Only time will tell. I wouldn’t use them again. I also advise anyone else using them to shop around.

Brought my truck here for what I thought would be a transmission repair but they informed me it is related to the engine and recommended me to use a full service auto repair facility. Appreciated the honest diagnosis and helpfulness of the employees!

I would give them 10-Stars if I could! I took my 2016 GMC Acadia Denali AWD to The Transmission Shop in McKinney after a bad experience at another shop. The service writer, Blue, said they would do a full diagnosis for free, and it would take 2-days. They did exactly that. Checked motor mounts and everything and called me the morning of the 2nd day. In my case it was the torque converter. We agreed on a full transmission rebuild at very fair price using all OEM parts. 4-days later I had my car back. Blue honored the $100 online coupon and included a 12-month/12,000 mile warranty. I asked if I could upgrade the warranty and got a 36-month/36,000 mile added on for $375. I've already driven the car about 500 miles and it runs better than it did new. No leaks, no problems. Thank you Blue and your Crew.

Referred to The Transmission Shop by my local service shop and I can see why. These guys are very helpful and diagnosed my car without charging me, which is almost unheard of. They then found the problem not to be transmission related and recommended my next steps, which kept my overall cost down instead of taking back to a mechanic. Problem solved.
