Today I had reservations at the Go store it Self Storage on South McDonald Hwy 5 in Mckinney Tx. I had made reservations for July 29th for a 10x12 unit. I called and confirmed on the 22 that I had a unit reserved for the 29th. The receptionist was lovely both times that I spoke to her. So today I had movers that I paid $300 for 3 hours. It took us 1hr 30 minutes to load up and we headed to Go store it which is a 5 min drive away. I was super happy everything was going great until I went to the Go Store It office and no one was there. The door was locked and no one was around. Meanwhile my movers in the truck boiling to death in the Texas heat. I called and spoke with a customer service person and they said the manager was prob on the grounds and they would call them and call me back. No call back. I called again 10 min later different customer service rep same thing no call back. Time ticking away. Every hour after 3 hrs I have to pay $110 more dollars. So here I am on the side of the loud highway frantically calling storage places trying to find the closest one to me. Found one a mile away but by now I’ve lost 25 minutes. The receptionist was so great but the unit she had was $150 more a month so I had to get a smaller unit it’s costing $50 more a month and I had to pay the movers for an extra 1/2 hr. Go Store It was super unprofessional and no one has called me back to touch base about the situation and it’s been over 2 hours. I’m not wealthy person. I have a budget and I was forced to make financial decisions above my means bc of their ineptitude. What started out as great day turned out to be a lot less great bc I chose to do business with Go Store It on South McDonald McKinney Tx. 0 out of 10. Do not recommend!!

Great experience, pricing, and the whole process from online to the storage rep was seamless and efficient. Rep was professional and did a great job setting my unit up quickly.

Won an auction. The manager Stewart helped me through the process for getting it and paying for it. Very friendly, professional.
I have bought over 150 auctions at various storage companies, and it is nice to see a manager there.
Today I got the rest of the things out and Stewart was there to get my cleaning deposit back.
Clean property. Excellent customer service. Great experience

Stewart is my life saver! My apartment flooded and I had no where to move my stuff. He made the process quick, easy, and most of all pleasant. He offered me peace and a solution on one of the craziest mornings of my life!!! THANK YOU GO STORE IT and STEWART. YOU ROCK!!

Where to start, I got my unit sept 2022 I sent the manager the receipt showing the charges for that month being $47 and them charging my account the full price of $90, yet the manger claims they don’t owe me anything, I also received an email stating the unit would increase and would take effect in June 2023 well I was charged the increase in May again haven’t been reimbursed. I went at the end of November to pull Christmas Stu out and realized there was crickets and rat droppings everywhere, I went to get my stuff out and realized there’s also water damage, more than half of my stuff was covered either in rat droppings/pee, water damage or both. I salvaged what I could but most of it I just left it not even good enough for donation.
I paid over $1,500 for my stuff to get ruined, clothes, toys, baby items, Xbox console, controllers etc…
