The phone selection was not ideal. They didn’t have phones in stock that were on display. The woman who serviced me did not listen to the things I was asking for but rather pushing to make higher sales. I asked for a specific phone which she claimed they had none but then later told me they did but she didn’t mention it because it was only one of them left and she thought I was buying two phones. So I settled on a third choice phone because the second choice phone didn’t have a protection case designed for safeguarding against drops. She then starts the activation process and asked if I’d like the line to have a local area code or it to match mine (which is Austin based). I said a local area code. Then she gets halfway through the process only to tell me that she’s have to change my plan, to one that no longer has Amazon Prime included (for the same price). Mind you, she looked at my plan before this whole endeavor began. So I then had to get the new line on a relatives account that wouldn’t have to change their plan. She gets through activation and begins to write the new line phone number on a post it note. She used the area code of the relative’s account without even asking me. Now my son has a third choice phone with a Seattle area code phone number.To top it all off, I asked this salesperson for an itemized copy of my purchase, as she only handed me the credit card receipt. She tells me that she doesn’t have one to give me and gets her manager to come and tell me they do not supply those. I don’t believe it. I just bought two phones last month and both times received a long receipt with the itemized purchase. It just seems shady to me. Especially because just last month when I was in that same store to buy my iPhone, the activation fee was $5 less than she said it was today. I paid over $90 for activating a $30 line and $25 worth of accessories. With no way to look over the cost breakdown myself.I have been with MetroPCS since 2009. Sadly, in the last two years, this has become a more regular experience at a couple of the stores I’ve been to.Needless to say, I will be finding a different location to do business from here on out.
