We've been hit with two rate increases in one year. The latest one is 25% more than we were currently paying to add insult to injury, and 25% more than their published rate on their website. This place, like most storage places are deceptive. They get you to unload your stuff, get settled in and then start the rate increases once they have you captive. Be warned about this place, two 20% rate increases in a year!

In just three months of renting a unit, my rates have increased by nearly $60.
Additionally, the front desk attendant has been extremely hostile towards me. If I park out front to finish a phone call before coming inside, she will walk out, bang on my window, and demand that I roll it down so she can speak to me. If I politely ask her to wait because I’m on a business call, she either continues to talk through the window or angrily writes a note and puts it on my car, displaying exasperated body language and attitude.
Even when I explain that I don't have time to chat at my unit, she insists on talking, which has made me late on several occasions.
The biggest issue occurred when she used my card to charge me for a storage unit that I should not have been responsible for, simply because she assumed one of my common hardware store locks was on a different empty unit. She ran my card without my authorization, signature, or contract. I had to change my card number due to this lack of security and chose not to keep my card on file.
To cover this up, she paid for one month of my storage unit herself to prevent me from alerting upper management.
Due to these continual issues with Storage King, I do not plan to rent here in the future until the office staff is changed.
