I’m an absolute newbie to Kickboxing and it’s apparent but Vicki encourages me, gives pointers for better technique and pushes me to want to learn and be better! I’m 45 years old, completely out of shape, and the class kicks my rear every time, but I love it! It’s cardio and strength and endurance all rolled in to one. If you’re on the fence like I was about trying something new, just do it! You won’t regret it!

I joined the 6 week Challenge that I saw from an instagram ad. I was needing a reset and thought why not now!? I met with Jaye and he did my initial weigh in and InBody assessment. Which is so cool. It tells you everything inside your body...weight, body fat, water, muscle mass etc. I was given the eating plan and was excited to start. 3 Solid meals a day with a protein dink in between. I believe why this worked so well for me as it was an easy plan to follow and I don't mind eating pretty much the same thing for breakfast and lunch. Easy to mix up dinners with the family. Zoe was my instructor of choice and she was awesome! Always willing to help with form and repeating instructions if I got it wrong. I started out slow but after the first week (3-4 classes) you figure it out. I love kick boxing and how strong you feel during and after a workout! If you put in the work and keep up with your nutrition....there is no reason why you can't meet your 6 week challenge goal! Thanks Kick House!

ISSUE WAS RESOLVEDI went to Kickhouse with my sister roughly a week and a half ago for there first class free promotion on October 30, 2022. My experience was amazing and we even ended up purchasing some merchandise for our future returns since we both want to be healthier with the upcoming year.

I have mixed feelings about my Kickhouse experience. I signed up to a 6 week challenge. Generally I think the marketing strategy for this is flawed and I can't see people signing up after esp. onc they're told that they did not pass the challenge. I didn't.The deal:Lose 6% fat, take min. 3 classes per week and follow a strict diet plan and the deal was that you'd get refunded the $500 back. I was told about the 90%+ success rate for the programme ..... I should have probed further and I think what they were referring to was that 90%+ was referring to participation - not success in terms of achieving the set goals.Experience:As someone who is a seasoned kickboxer, I still struggled with how instructors called out combinations - clearly every gym has different names for every move. So I spent more time adapting to the new lingo than getting an optimum workout. Some instructors showed combos only once and you're on your own after that. I ended up making up my own combos when I realized that I wasn't going to get much more help. It was frustrating.I was told that there were some intro classes. But honestly, I turned up to those and they were the same as the other regular classes I was already going to.Having said that, I loved the energy, attitude and appreciated the patience of a couple of instructors. (Jayden and Maqueas were my favourite). I got good work outs as time went on.Nutrition:I was given weekly weigh-ins. My body mass yo-yo-ed. Only in the last week was I advised to switch up my diet to another plan that had lower carbs. It didn't give very much time to achieve my goal with a plan switch so late in the day.The nutrition plan was rigid and doesn't really take into account the daily lifestyle of individuals... In my case, a mum who is rushed off her feet in the morning getting the kids ready for school. Cooking up a spinach omelette for example is sadly something my hectic schedule does not allow for.The alternative options of what else we could have instead were pretty much non-existent.Conclusion.After turning up to classes min. Of 3x per week, did my best to follow their nutrition plan, I ended up losing 3% body fat which was just half of my challenge goal. For that, they couldn't refund me my money back. They said that half of the amount I already paid out of the $500 could be spread into the next 12 month membership plan if I signed up with them."Hmmm" - if I failed the challenge , didn't get my money back - even though I pretty much followed the rules of the game, what's the chances that I'm going to sign up with them? - Pretty low.Generally, the marketing strategy for this 6 week challenge needs to be re-thought through if they want people to sign up after they've roped us in.No one is going to lock themselves into a membership after being told they failed the challenge. There's just no incentive.

I was scrolling down Instagram when I saw. Six week kick boxing challenge for free. I fill out the paperwork and go to the gym feeling excited, and ready to get information about the program, when I should of known it definitely wouldn’t be free, although I’ve done these challenges before in Frisco, which was free and great, this place really disappointed me, after getting information about the program, they guy says, it’s $499 to start and, if you finish the program, you can get your money back. This is very misleading... Tell people upfront the situation. I wasted gas, and time coming to this place. Now the gentleman was nice, but, You will get better business bing upfront...

I started Kickhouse- McKinney three weeks ago and it was the best decision I ever made! I wanted something fun for a workout that didn’t feel like going to the gym. Kickhouse is ideal, especially being a high-energy fun group work-out environment. All the instructors are professional and take extra time to help you work on your form so you will avoid hurting yourself as you learn to kickbox. I know I will extend my membership after my initial three months and looking forward to loose weight and stay healthy.

KickHouse is a game changer. If you’re eager to get active but not sure where to begin—come to a FREE class. Meet an instructor that greets you by name upon arrival. I love this place.
