Disappointed in this salon. They took advantage of my grandson. I made an appt for a perm only as he didn’t want a hair cut. I dropped him off for a perm only! Then they charged him another $40 to “trim his hair”. Well that’s the cost of a hair cut which we already said he didn’t want. The request for service was only a perm. Parents please beware!!! If you drop your kids off you will need to stay with them. Also, if you’re gonna charge a child for a haircut, you might as well give them one at this point.

Stylist: Jessica cut my curly hair two weeks ago and today she helped me to go silver, since mine is coming In quickly. Very experienced stylist. Was very pleased.

Had Jessica cut my hair- she is incredible for curly hair and really listens to what you want. She’s also not afraid to give recommendations which is so helpful! It’s obvious that she cares about her skills and about ur experience.

Well I finally bit the bullet and said I would get another perm after 26 years. I made it clear in both writing and via a phone call that I was looking for an experienced person and someone that liked doing perms. I was given full confirmation that this would be the case. Got there and sat in lobby without a single hello foe almost 15 min. I finally got checked on and the hair stylist had been wondering around and not acknowledging me that entire time. I understand she didn't know who I was but she never bothered to ask. I then learn not only does she not do a lot of perms but she doesn't even like doing them. After 5.5 hours of getting my perm, I end up with mostly curly hair nut straight hair around the frame of my face. I purchased $300 in product and was never told that you cannot get your money back even though the product is not opened. They ONLY do in store credit. I have no respect for places that do that. The only reason I gave 2 stars is that it wasn't the most terrible experience and the hair stylist did try. It just wasn't her cup of tea.
Requested style: I requested a spiral perm. It is not pleasant.

Came in with my 5 year old daughter for both of us to have back to back cuts with Taylor. Both of us had long dead hair when we came in and we both left with soft long hair that was AMAZING. It was such a drastic change I ended up buying all the recommend products. Taylor was also super nice and sweet to my daughter who had her first salon shampooing. I've never walked out of a salon and been this happy and my daughter keeps telling me how beautiful her own hair is. Taylor did an amazing job and I just had to write this review. The front staff and other stylists were also nice and the place was clean. 10/10 will come back

It was my first time to Jovie Salon .Right from booking my appointment to my checking in for Haircut the process was smooth.Natalie is a good hair stylist.She did exactly what I wanted and made me feel comfortable the whole time plus giving me tips to keep my hair moist .I highly recommend her and Jovie Salon .

Today I had the most phenomenal experience while working with Taylor at their Mckinney location.
She is fantastic, sweet, kind hearted and extremely professional.
She knew I was disappointed in not being able to get what intended color to my hair because of someone else for less experience who was on her own did to my hair.
But she consulted with their more experience in color and they came up with a plan.
I am over the heals thrilled with my new cut and color.
Thank you so much Taylor you and your totally rock.

The hairstylist put a lot of time and effort into my hair! The hairstylist give the best consultation for my hair! Was able to bleach my hair without damage for the first time in years! 10/10 recommend!

Sydney is THE SWEETEST, kindest soul ever & she is so welcoming! This was my second appt with her and I swear we could’ve talked for hours on end. I adore her and would recommend her to anyone! 10/10!

This was my first time @Jovie Salon. And oh, what an experience! The place is clean and the staff is welcoming! Every employee has a beautiful and warm smile! I got checked in and was offered a drink. Just as I was about to sit down on the very comfy looking waiting couch, I saw the lovely lady Natalie who was going to give me a haircut! She is a total delight! A super friendly person who listens carefully to what you are looking for and well she nailed it! She gave me a haircut that I absolutely love! Natalie also gave me tips and suggested products that would work better for my hair type!
Jovie Salon is not the cheapest, but they also use quality products and the service you get is worth every penny! Ladies, if you are thinking about going to a salon, u should definitely give Jovie Salon a try!

I booked for haircut and blowout w a jr associate, no other option was given and they she was unable to do blow out due to her blow dryer not working. Which had not been working for a while now. I understand that stuff happens but no solution was offered. There was no " come back another time, or let me borrow one really quick " nothing. The receptionist asked " how was everything?" I said that the blow out was not done and she just said " sorry to hear that" . Days later manager did reach out for feedback, told her what happened and said to come in for complimentary blow out. Which is not really complimentary if I was charged for it already. And here I am months later reminded of terrible experience because my haircut was cut/ layers terrible that to do a high ponytail is no longer an option still. First and last time. I know everyone' has to become an expert by experience and I was unfortunate a guinea pig.

Clean and beautiful salon! I was greeted at the door, given a drink in a glass, and a place to hang my jacket in a nice walk in coat closet. Ana was my stylist; she made me feel so comfortable with her easy conversation. I showed her a reference picture and explained the cut I wanted and I got exactly what I’d imagined! I haven’t left a haircut that excited about my cut in a few years! The price for the cut was very reasonable and the staff members were so friendly!

Taylor did an amazing job with the cut and style I had in mind. She was able to quickly recognize what I wanted to accomplish and even suggested a few options. I really liked how receptive and intuitive she was.
The other stylist who was there was also friendly and the team camaraderie between the two is something to call out as Taylor had to borrow the diffuser from the other stylist who was fine with it though she needed it as well. I thought their professionalism especially in-front of clients was worthy of a shout out.
And finally the personnel at the front desk, she was simply phenomenal- polite, respectful, amicable, and welcoming. I wish I knew their names.
They certainly have a repeat client.

Book appointments and then cancel them without notifying you. Don’t recommend booking with them if you need a professional service.
