Kathy was really great! She was super friendly and gave me a great haircut. She also does an awesome head massage with the shampoo service. Ask for Kathy because she is awesome!

Terrible service! They experiment on your hair! Never let them mess up your hairstyle! All I asked for was a simple 2-inch machine cut on the sides and back, with the rest blended. Instead, the stylist ruined my hairline and insisted it looked better. Despite repeatedly telling her she didn’t trim my sideburns properly, she got irritated, tried something else, and made it even worse!

They don’t even deserve one star! Unfortunately, Google doesn’t allow zero stars. I seriously doubt if my hairstylist knows anything about haircuts. I can’t believe how she even got her license!

I went to this Great Clips store and was 4th in line. Another woman was 3rd, but we both noticed we weren’t added to the queue. A family of four had members listed as 2nd, 5th, 6th, and 8th. The staff served the 2nd person but missed us. Later, they realized the mistake and added everyone, including the family members, back into the queue. The woman in 3rd was upset about waiting for an hour while they served 5th, 6th, and 8th. Woman 3rd in list started questioning and To resolve the issue, they stopped serving the 8th family member, charged for only three of them, and then served us. The great clips in Chicago’s Halsted street was a great store, the haircut was top notch and they made a family wait because they were in different order but this one is not acceptable at all. And the haircut too was not at all good, she was in a hurry to just get it done, I asked her to cut a bit more around the ear, she kept insisting it was good. Overall the experience was not good. (Please take it as constructive criticism because I want Great Clips to be great for everyone, but these things just are not good for the reputation for the great ones out there)

Owner specifically asked for tip. Tipping just for the sake of tipping has become nucense. Tip is based on the quality of service.
Not once the person said, hello, or how are you. Didn't even bother to have a conversation. On top of that, the two employees kept on chatting the whole time in their own language.
After hair cut, at least ask to see if everything looks good. Here, nothing. After the haircut, she just went straight to the check out, while talking to the other employee in foreign language.
I bought their gift card a while ago to load multiple hair cuts at discounted rate, now they are making you feel obligated to tip instead of just honoring their own scheme.

I am giving Kathy five stars. She cuts my son and daughters hair and she does a fantastic job! My teenage son wanted a low tapered fade and she did it beautifully. He was beaming. Hard to find anyone that can do it right. She’s fast and listens and communicates well. She always has a smile and is polite. We always come when she’s working there.

Just stepped out from this location. They made me wait for 15 mins even though there were no customers (even if you want break then please do update min. wait time in the system so that both customer and staff can make use of their time effectively). After getting into seat, I asked for customization and lady started to give me looks. Those looks made me really uncomfortable.when you do not have intentions to service what customer is asking for then there is no point in running the business.
Never going back to this location again.

9:00 a.m. on Sunday old man is we talking the female stylist into taking him first. just me and him there then a second male stylist shows up. 20 minutes passed and I'm still waiting on a haircut. a second male customer arrives. play check them in and his name is taken off the list and he doesn't understand whyI'm like dude that's because you're getting to go in front of me. the customer starts going off telling me I'm treating him like he's un-American. I'm like dude I don't care I'll do any man the same. he's like oh I have a wife. and the male style this is like oh I was just unfamiliar with your hair. I'm like I've been sitting here 20 minutes and it took you that long to tell me that. I had a great clips gift cardand no intention of ever going back. so I offered to payfor the man's haircut and leave the male stylist a tip and I left without a haircut. how American is that?

Thank you Monir, the best stylist. PSA: 20-25% TIP IS MANDATORY ON SERVICES! This is AMERICA! Keep it GREAT! Lots of the other responses are crappy tippers who leave $0 or $1 with coupon use for $10 off their haircuts. EDUCATE AND ASSIMILATE.

By far the best Great Clips in in the area. I tried all the Great Clips stores on Custer road and this is by far the best. The stylists actually take time to cut your hair instead of mostly using clippers and few snips with scissors. I wish I would have came here earlier.
