I came to Eagle transmission and said there was a noise and I should get it looked at. I was met by the manager Frank and he said would check it out. He was professional, very informative and funny. He looked at my car and indicated it was not my transmission and there was no charge. I will tell everyone I know to come here for professional advice and above all honesty. Thank you for looking at my car.

“ I took my car to the dealer, and another transmission shop, both of them told me I needed a new transmission. Frank and George at Eagle checked my car and found where a rat had chewed through some wiring. They fixed the wiring, charged me $50 and my car runs fine. Kudos to them. I am so grateful.“

We had my 2014 Ford Escape towed to the McKinney location of Eagle Transmission on August 22. It was after-hours, so my husband completed their paperwork, with a detailed description of what happened with the car. We left the paperwork and key fob in their drop box. The following morning, my husband contacted the shop to verify they had received our info. Initially, no one had any knowledge of my car being there. After additional follow-up calls, my husband was told they would take a look at the car and would call with a diagnosis. After no call backs, my husband made multiple calls to the shop to get information. On August 29, a full week later, my husband called and got the diagnosis and the cost of the repair. $6,000 was the low bid; $7,900 was the high bid! The car wasn't worth that amount in working condition, so we opted to not go forward with the work. My husband told the shop manager to put the car back together and we would have the car towed off their property, as soon as we could make the arrangements. I went to the McKinney shop on Friday, the following day at 3:45, to pay the bill and get my belongings from the car. I paid over $1,100 for the "diagnostic". At that time, I informed the manager that since we were going into the holiday weekend, we would not be able to have the car towed off their lot until Tuesday, September 3. He informed me that if the car wasn't removed on Tuesday, he would have it removed and sold to a salvage yard. I was surprised by his attitude and reassured him the Labor Day holiday is what caused the delay and it would be removed by our towing company on Tuesday. He repeated his threat if my car wasn't gone on Tuesday! I left the office to get my belongings from my car. My key fob wouldn't work, so I returned to the office to ask why. Manager informed me the mechanics didn't hook up the battery, so the fob wouldn't work and told me to "just use the key in the door lock". I explained I had done that and it wouldn't unlock the door. He asked another man in the office to see if he could get into the car. Again, the fob nor the key would work, and this worker told me, "it looked like I had a problem". Fortunately, I had the second key in my purse and that key actual unlocked the door. I was loading my belongings and realized several of my things that I had stored in the cargo section of my car were thrown in the back seat. When I opened the back seat door, there was an oily box of parts sitting on the back seat and parts on the floor board. When I looked over the back seat, the greasy, oily transmission parts had been thrown in and piled up in the cargo area of my car. I grabbed the belongings I had been able to retrieve from the car and was going back to the office to discuss the condition of my car, but wait, the bay doors were shut and the office was closed. It was barely 4:00 and the entire shop was shut down and all the employees were gone. The shop had been paid and we were left with the horrible condition of my car. I have never experienced such disregard for another person and their property from a service-based company. We will never again use Eagle Transmission for any of our vehicles needed repairs. I will be quick to share our experience with the personnel and the lack of quality of their work. I will be contacting the shop that recommended we use Eagle Transmission, in hopes they will no longer send referrals to this shop.

THIS IS THE SHOP YOU NEED TO GO IF YOU NEED TRANSMISSION WORK OR A REBUILD!! I have had 2 different vehicles get the transmission rebuilt and a transfer case from Eagle transmission and have not had 1 issue with either one. I recently had my transmission rebuilt for my dually I use for work for construction. It’s working perfect!! Frank the Manager worked with me and went above and beyond to help me. He really helped me out with my truck with my transfer case after it left me stranded on the road. It was not the transmission!!! I got my transfer case rebuilt by them and my truck runs great and strong again!! I greatly appreciate the dedication he and his team showed. They don’t push anything out fast just because. They take their time to make the job done the right way the first time!! George is very knowledgeable and has a lot of experience and knows what he is doing. Lucy the receptionist was also a great help and very professional and had great communication.
Frank and his entire team do care about their customers and they do GREAT QUALITY WORK!! I’ll definitely be coming back in the future if I ever need transmission work. Thank you Frank and your team!!

Gave me a great price on a completely rebuilt transmission for my black, Ford Escape. I picked it up this morning and it runs better than it did when I first got it. Love Frank! We had a good laugh this morning, and I'm sure he remembers me! The short redhead with no computer skills. Haha!
Recommend this place 100%!!

I visited this store, to pick up a friend's car with a transmission problem but the owner said it had a warranty and the dealer would cover the fix. I appreciate the honesty of the owner Usually what they do is rip off the customer. Surely I recommend this store for transmission issues

BEWARE OF EAGLE TRANSMISSION!!
I recently had the pleasure of visiting A1 United Transmission while solo traveling across the country, and I felt compelled to share my exceptional experience with this outstanding shop.
As someone who relies heavily on my car for my journey, I am extremely cautious about its maintenance and only seek the best service. During my travels through Texas, I decided to check my transmission to ensure everything was in top condition for the long road ahead. My previous encounter with Eagle Transmission had left me wary and skeptical; after diagnosing my car, they claimed my transmission needed an immediate replacement due to numerous issues. Sensing something was off, I decided to seek a second opinion.
After doing some research and networking, A1 United came highly recommended. I called them immediately, explained my situation, and they assured me they would take care of my car without delay. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with respect and professionalism. Mike, the technician, promptly attended to my needs. We went for a drive so he could get a feel for the car, and then he took it in for a thorough inspection.
I shared my previous ordeal with Mike, and his empathy and understanding were exactly what my troubled heart needed. After his inspection, Mike assured me there was nothing wrong with my transmission and suggested that the other shop might have tried to deceive me. His honesty and integrity were a breath of fresh air.
Mike is not just a great technician; he’s a genuinely kind-hearted individual. His dedication to providing honest and exemplary service is a testament to A1 United's commitment to their customers. I highly recommend this shop to anyone in need of transmission services, especially to all the beautiful women out there. Trust A1 United – they will take care of you and your car with the utmost respect and integrity.

I called to see how much would it cost rotors and breaks on my vehicle since I live close and I use snap finance the guy on the phone immediately says I don’t have time for anything this week I said I wasn’t talking about this week then told me he has no way of looking at pricing… it’s almost like I wasn’t allowed to ask for the price before coming in.. never had this problem before on car repair service

Leaving this review again since my last one was deleted by Eagle. Which should tell you enough. Worst customer service I’ve ever received from Frank and his receptionist. When I called around and found out Eagle charged $7,500 MORE for the same used transmission I paid a diagnostic fee and after getting my vehicle back I found my transmission was left in 1000 different pieces in boxes that filled up the back and third row seating of my ford explorer.
Only go to Eagle if overpaying, shady managaement and rude customer service is your thing.

Sketchy at best, was told it woul be $795 to tear down to diagnose transmission, that was fine, called and advised trans needed rebuilt, which we kinda new, that was fine, he gave my son a financial institution that may help finance the repair, he filled his information out and the next day they called to say truck was ready, never agreed to repair, we where trying to figure out payment options, then called the next day to say he didn’t have room for truck, it had to be payed for and picked up, drove down to pay for it for my son, and they wanted to charge over $400 dollars to use a debit card( not a credit card a debit card) so drove to bank to get cash, counted it out, then they counted and said it was $200 short, had to make them recount to see all money was there. The staff was rude, left truck in lot so tight, my wife had to help son get the truck out so he didn’t hit anything, no employees would help, I just hope the rebuild is better than their customer service it’s short of terrible! We took the truck to them over my usual guy because a friend recommended them, I will never use them again because of there service, and ended up being $3000 more than my other trans shop, also other trans shop honors their warranty regardless, Eagle demands you have to come back to them or warranty is void, so I don’t put a lot of faith in their work but hopefully it will hold out
