My 2 Boston Terriers have been to a few doggy daycares, and this has been far the best location for them. The climate controlled indoors is perfect for my pups who can't handle really hot or really cold days, and also for my boy who has bad allergies. Indoor space is a very good size for them to run around and play with the other pups. Webcam is great. Location is clean and have had no issues with my pups for daycare or boarding. Staff is very friendly.

Dogtopia of Mckinney fraudently charged me $843 dollars in January 2024 though no pet of mine was boarded with them.at that time. I have been repeatedly following up with them for the past 3 weeks to reverse the charges, but to no avail.What is really surprising is that not only were they unable to provide me with a plausible explanation, they were completely unapologetic about it too.I am left with no choice but to put in a review in the hope that they take responsibility for their actions and be more sensitive and fair to their customers in future.

By far my FAVORITE Dogtopia location in DFW. They love love our German Shepards, and treat them like they are their own. You can tell my babies love being there, as they get so excited as we drive into the parking lot and everyone welcomes them, and they just can't get enough of all the love and fun they have every day. By the end of the day, they are clean (they smell like they had baths!) happy and EXHAUSTED. Thank you so much for taking amazing care of our baby boy and our sweet girl. I highly recommend the McKinney Dogtopia family to take care of your fur babies. XXX

Do NOT take your dog here. My fiancée and I have trusted Dogtopia in Southlake with our Aussie for the last year, and had nothing but positive experiences with them. When we bought a new house we were thrilled that there was a Dogtopia in McKinney and happily enrolled him here. After TWO days in daycare, we will be pulling him and looking elsewhere. Just like other reviews, we completed the meet and greet and he passed with “flying colors”, and a had positive experience looking at the facility. Day one was fine, but day two everything went downhill quickly. I logged into the webcam in between work events for 2 minutes, and was appalled by what I saw. The trainer was being aggressive towards the dogs, he was a man with long hair in the “Park” room. I watched him grab another black dog by the scruff so hard that it ripped his collar off. Naturally, you can assume I was concerned and I continued to watch and decided to start screen recording. I watched him approach my dog who was just playing like the other dogs. He put the leash around him and walked with it very tight to the crate (my dog was not resisting). He puts him into the crate, and yanks on the leash so hard that both front paws leave the ground. My dog is 45 pounds do you can only imagine how hard he must have pulled him for both paws to leave the ground. I was absolutely horrified, but I very respectfully called Dogtopia and spoke with the manager, Doug. He told me he would “review the tapes” and when he called back he was rude and dismissive. He told me his employee behaved within his realm, and did nothing wrong. He told me that the collar on the other dog only ripped off because it was a “quick release”. I have never seen even a quick release collar that just falls off because you simply touch it. I told him that I trusted them to keep my dog safe, and how concerning that it only two TWO minutes of watching the webcam to see this behavior, what about the other 8 hours I was not checking on him? It is clear that the manager of this franchise does not hold his employees to the high standards I had experienced at other Dogtopias. Please take the other negative reviews about this location seriously. Protect your fur babies, they have no way of speaking up for themselves.

We absolutely love Dogtopia and so does our doggo, Ranger!!There is something special to be said about when you enter and they immediately recognize your dog upon seeing them. Ranger feels the love and we wholeheartedly trust and love the Dogtopia team here at McKinney.They always take fantastic care of him and he comes home exhausted. For such a shy dog, he does amazing with them and at their facility.They have watched Ranger for our week long honeymoon, multiple and various holidays as well as surprise trips.I cannot recommend them enough!

My dog loves it here. I love how tired he is when he comes home (see photos). I like the nap/lunch break, because some other places don't do that, and I know some of the other reviews pointed out putting the dogs in crates, but it works to calm them down a bit when they start getting too crazy. Since he's been coming here, he's more well behaved and hasn't been chasing our cat. It's like he gets all his crazy out here!

Huge thank you to Dogtopia! I work from home and I always felt torn between having an enriching day with my pup and focusing on my job. Taking Molly there even three days a week has her happy and worn out from playing. I also love seeing the dogs on the instagram! The events are so cute!

Hands down, best dog boarding/doggie daycare facility and team that we’ve ever experienced. Our doodle Chandler is a happy dog at Dogtopia McKinney. We signed up for weekly option to make sure Chandler gets his social time and he loves it. It’s really helped him to calm down more when he’s home throughout the week and we get discounts and priority towards boarding too. We’re busy professionals and travel/vacay fairly often so having Dogtopia and their team has been absolutely clutch for our family. Their team is what makes this place so great. Every person I ever interacted with has been upbeat, helpful, responsive and friendly. I’d give 10 stars ⭐️ if I could. Their team is 10/10. Chandler gives them 10/10 ? too.

"McKinney Dogtopia provided the worst grooming service I have ever experienced. Despite bringing my Goldendoodle in for a luxury bath, his coat was left matted, and his eyes and ears were not properly cleaned. When I picked him up, he was returned to me damp and looking distressingly disheveled. He appeared severely shaken, as if he had been mistreated. It was absolutely a horrific experience, not only for my puppy but for me witnessing it.To make matters worse, despite my disappointment, the manager has yet to address my concerns or offer any resolution. This level of disregard for customer satisfaction is unacceptable. Therefore, I am left with no choice but to escalate my complaint to the CEO, Neil Gill. I will be reaching out to Mr. Gill to express my extreme dissatisfaction and provide a detailed account of the unsatisfactory service I received.I strongly advise against using McKinney Dogtopia for your pet's grooming needs. The lack of care, negligence, and absence of any attempt to rectify the situation demonstrate a complete disregard for their customers. It is my hope that by bringing this matter to the attention of the CEO, necessary improvements will be made to prevent others from having to endure such a terrible experience."

Wow! What a great place to take my pup! I was in McKinney for work and need a place for my 9-month-old Aussiedoodle to go to for doggy daycare. Bodie played so much that he would pass out when we got back to the hotel. If I lived in the area, this is the place I would take him all the time. He ran to get inside the building and was just as happy to see me at the end of the day. The staff there were wonderful with my baby, and if I’m back in the area for work again, this is the place I’ll take him.

My pup has been coming here for under a month now and he LOVES it! I’ve been more than pleased with Dogtopia from the time of his meet & greet and each daycare session following! Highly recommend!

I am so happy and “joy”ful I found this place. The staff clearly care about the animals and show so much love. Plus all of their activities are fun and a great way for the dogs and owners to enjoy it even more. I have my Valentine my dog so thoughtfully made me hanging up at work. Thank you guys for all you do! She’s always ready for bed when she gets home.

Our 18 month golden retriever loves Dogtopia. She goes for daycare a couple of days a week and she gets so excited when we pull into their parking lot. It’s a great way for her to get supervised playtime and exercise with other dogs her size. We couldn’t be happier with the staff and the facility. We know you and your dog will love the Dogtopia experience!
