I've been coming to DSN since 2020, and I love getting my hair braided here. I transitioned from relaxed hair to natural hair with the help of Miss Diena's amazing hair oil and protective styles. This place feels like family. The staff is always friendly and professional. They do great work from braids to locs to sewn ins. If you're looking for a shop locally that is fairly priced for exceptional work, this is the place to go! I can not say enough good things about Miss Diena and her fantastic staff.

I have been a loyal customer to DSN braiding over the last couple years. However, the last the service I received was horrid. The straw that broke the camels back to say the least. I always get a simple and common service, knotless box braids, typically mid back to waist length. Bringing in the new year of 2024 seemed to also bring in fake, poor, low quality braiding hair, and unsatisfactory customer service. The hair that was used for this appointment left my scalp so itchy I could barely make it through sitting in the chair to finish getting my hair braided. All in all the experience was horrible. The stylist at this institution that I've been involved with are always late, leaving you sitting in the style seat for 30+ minutes past your prior start time. The unprofessionalism of taking personal phone calls throughout the whole service for everyone to hear is unbearable. This is definitely not an institution for people who have busy schedules and high standards. You'll be there ALL day. Personally, I will be taking my wallet to a more professional business with better products and services. Hope this helps the review viewers and also DSN as well. Please do better.

Paid $400 + $100 + $80 tip…. Ugh (she used 13 bundles way too much) for hair for passion twists , techniques was not professional. It was bulky & unevenly cut. They untwisted within the first few hours. Took 6 hours so was not interested in a redo as there isn’t a quality control or experienced braiders there . Go elsewhere unless you’re good with paying premium prices for kitchen work. Nice people though just not worth the time and money. ( Do Not Schedule, all stylists are not skilled it giving braiding school vibes)Update: we took the twists out easily, as they were not braided in so all slipped off with a tug (smh) booked an luckily we were able to book an appointment with another salon in time to make sure we were ready for Last First Day moments. So this was an expensive lesson on where NOT to go.Service: Twist braids
