What an excellent group. The doctors and staff got my family through the last day of our precious dog Pepper. They were so empathetic and respectful of us and our dog. Her last moments were spent receiving love and comfort.I really appreciate the honesty and professionalism when it comes to making this difficult decision and making it as painless as possible. I cannot thank them enough, but I will be going there for all my future veterinary needs!

We lucked out when we found Meadowbrook (Chastain) vet clinic. Most often, we've seen Dr Sue Chastain who is treating our beloved boxer now. After a lifetime of pets and vets, I must say Dr Sue is one of the best, if not the best. Our dog LOVES them all. Without hesitation, I recommend CHASTAIN veterinarian care- either of two locations.

Great practice focused on serving pets and their owners. Comfy cozy waiting area with cute pet art and comfy patio furniture to sit on. I did not have to wait on my appt. We recently moved here and they were recommended on Nextdoor. Aggie vets and excellent care. My dog got his shots, exam and medicines needed for eye infection. Red is a senior 13 yr old rescue and they handled him so gently! I was very impressed.

While the staff is very nice, I question whether or not this facility is really interested in treating the patients effectively or driven by how much they can get pet owners to pay. I think that they, whether knowingly or not, overcharge. Our cat was taken in because he was not using his litterbox to urinate. They booked the appointment 3 weeks out. The first visit was slightly shy of $500. They never took a urinalysis. They opted for other high priced solutions and diagnosed him with idiopathic cystitis. Our cat still have experiencing issues the next day and they drained his bladder. He hadn't urinated by the morning and had stop eating and drinking, so we were advised to bring him in and have him hospitalized. The cost was close to $1200! I followed my gut and left. I went to another vet and they tested his urine and he has a really bad UTI which was causing the bladder blockage. They gave him 3 injections which included an antibiotic....total cost $230. I showed the new vet everything that this vet had done and planned on doing and he was very shocked. Eventually Chastain Vet would have figured it out but I would have been very broke!

We love Chastain! We started off at the Dallas location and transferred to Mckinney over 3 years ago. Everyone in the clinic is so great and friendly.

I took my dog here for years, almost his whole life. He has preexisting conditions but was a senior and had regular visits here. He had knee problems and lumps which time and time again. It was like I was laughed at every visit, one month before I had to put him down, I knew something was not right and they did a general check and called it a wellness exam, said they took blood and it was fine so they felt no further actions were necessary. Over time he stopped eating. That’s when I knew there was a problem but because of this vet clinics (several vets he’s seen there won’t name) negligence, by the time I had a diagnosis he couldn’t walk, drink, eat, anything. He was put down within one week of visiting another vet who said that there were obvious swollen lymph nodes (the other vet dismissed as lumps).Had this clinic had more insight and ethical practice, they would know to feel for those lymph nodes long before it spread to the last stage of cancer. (Lymphoma)I keep thinking back to all the wasted visits here which was ALOT. But I should have known to get another opinion when I thought something was wrong because I trusted this place. My dog was out down one month after this place said he was fine.He had been dying of lymphoma this whole time.

In 2021, was given a vial for a fecal sample and was charged for the parasite test. I brought the sample back in with my animal's annual in 2022. I was given a vial again for the next parasite test and charged $47.03 with no timeline of when I was to bring in the sample. I brought the sample in today with my animal's annual and was charged again, this time $51.37. I was told the vials "expire" in 6 months so they have to charge me and that they are following their "rules". I was never told the "rules" and the vet in 2022 is no longer working there. They will not refund me for the test now. So I have paid for 3 tests but only 2 have been run on my animal. If they don't go over the supposed rules, how are we supposed to follow them. I'm starting to wonder if they are another money grabbing vet office.

We boarded our dogs for a week or so and came back to find that our dogs had lost about 10lbs, if not more (they are thinner than before and it’s noticeable when you’re looking at them and if you pick them up), they are dehydrated beyond dehydrated, and they seem a bit traumatized. This is the last time we will ever board our dogs. This group is good for healthcare, but failed horribly on overnight care and stay.

Our sweet dog got suddenly ill with what Chastain diagnosed as kidney failure. After lots of tests and treatments ($$$) our dog got worse—she was in the final stage of kidney failure. We decided to take her home, stop treatment and think before deciding how to proceed. Almost immediately our dog was better, back to her old self. She was great for several months. Then, two days ago, she stopped eating and drinking. She wouldn’t move. We had to carry her. We called our vet, Chastain seeking advice. Front desk offered to set an appointment. Due to the fragile state of our dog we didn’t want to bring her out into the heat and in the car. We asked if the vet could call us asap as we needed guidance. No call came. Our dog got progressively worse resulting in back to back seizures so we took her to the emergency animal hospital where she had to be put down. Still no call from Chastain. At 6:30pm on Friday (after hours and almost 48 hours after we reached out) we got a call back. Knowing the urgency of our situation, knowing our dog, they neglected to call us in an appropriate, dutiful, and respectful time frame.

I was called from Amanda regarding one thing and I mentioned I was gonna call there. She offered to assist me without me begging. I am so happy she called and a delight to talk with. I have been going there for several years and love them all.
