Charles Schwab is tucked into a strip mall, but you’ll recognize it right away since it has the most aesthetically pleasant storefront in the area. There’s reserved parking directly in front, though it’s often blocked by customers heading to Enterprise next door. On top of that, the constant loitering outside doesn’t exactly make the entrance inviting.
Once inside, the staff are very friendly and welcoming, but the level of expertise isn’t always there. A simple task like depositing a check to your account turned into a group discussion.
Overall, the team’s friendliness is appreciated, but the lack of confidence and knowledge on basic transactions makes the experience less smooth than it should be.

Came to McKinney to get my account situated after being on the phone for weeks to figure it out. Tried to get in when they had the place shut down for a cheer banquet thing with no warnings online. Now I’m needing to drive hours again back to figure it out. We’ve never taken the time to type a complaint. We are only disappointed because this information not only was needed but now we are needing to figure it out again forcing us to repeat another 2 week process before we even get a chance to get back down here.

Scott is always willing to answer questions and offer suggestions (with no high pressure) that have proven valuable to my family’s assets over the years. He listens to your concerns and is very knowledgeable of current investment strategies. Janet is second to none in her prompt responses and action re. questions and requests. I've been a Schwab client for more than 20 years, and I LOVE everything about this company in general. Having a local resource like Scott, Janet, and team is a real blessing to our family - they are extremely helpful & knowledgeable, very professional, and willing to assist investors of many different stages of life and asset levels, from our college-age daughter who's just starting out, to my elderly father who's been retired for 20+ years. Scott and team create customized investment plans base on YOUR specific goals, not some product list they're being forced to sell. Plus, they're just very nice people, which makes it a pleasure to work with this office.

Janet at the front desk is awesome and nice and helpful. Two workers in office did not know Schwab software features I showed them. I debated one worker who started arguing with me about stocks when I knew more than her. She gave me her best 4 etf pics that all lost money in 1 month 3 month and 1 year and 3 of them also lost at 2 years. My treasury bonds make much more money than her 4 etf pics in the last 2 years. If she simply had returned my call as the secretary promised I would not have posted this review, but that lack of respect is the last straw.

Stopped in for some basic help, apparently they can't do much in the branch and was told I had to call the 800 number. More than that though the staff member at the front desk seemed less than empathetic to my queries and my perception was a take it or leave it attitude.

Scott and his team are excellent at what they do. I moved all of my liquid and long term assets over to them from several years ago from another firm (Wells Fargo) that was not providing much value. Schwab and their investment strategies, products, and service are second to none.

Website and door state open until 6pm- got here at 5:06pm and all locked up. Not a good way to build business
