Just sold my vehicle to them. It was the easiest and best experience to sell to them. They gave me the quoted price, which was 4k more than Bonham Chrysler. I'm very impressed with the customer service too. Judith Hernandez and the rest of the staff were great! They definitely made a believer out of me. I will buy from them when the time comes. Honesty and integrity go a long way in today's world. Thank you! ?
By the way, the whole process took less than an hour. Great job!

Need to improve their appraisal process. Not customer friendly.

Quite honestly I’ve had my 18 wrx for about 3 months now and I’ve had the check engine light come back on for the same codes 3 times now, I work at an auto shop so it helps but it’s frustrating to be paying this much for a car that can’t even keep the lights off the dash, I was told in the 90 day period that everything that needs to be fixed would be fixed but here I am dealing with the same issue over and over again. I do not plan on bringing it back to these guys to address the issues, should’ve just took it to a specialist in the first place

Bought a car from CarMax in June, and it’s been in the shop four times already. Every time I ask for support, all I’m told is, “It’s a used car.” Now I’m out thousands, and on top of that, I’ve had to borrow a car because CarMax didn’t offer any loaner vehicle. For the price I paid, I expected way more reliability and customer service. Extremely disappointed and would not recommend buying here.

My husband and I purchased a vehicle from this location this past Saturday. Everybody was great for the most part, but for a company that boasts about its 125 point inspection, we sure did leave that lot without working headlights and 2 interior lights out.

Initially I was very pleased with my experience at the McKinney location. However, after about 30 days of driving the vehicle, I realized the heat wasn’t working properly. If I drove less than 15 mins my car never heated up and if longer, it would take 25 mins to heat up. I called McKinney service but they didn’t have availability. So, I had to take it to Plano bc they could get me in much faster. It was cold and it needed to be looked at asap so I went to that location. Plano made it seem as if it was user error and assured me everything was fine and that since I have an Audi it just takes a little longer for the heat to kick on bc it has a special chip in the car so it doesn’t overheat, so it’s gonna take a little while. So, I just thought, ok. I just have it to be patient with it warming up. Fast forward to 9 mos later. It’s getting cold again, and I’m having the exact same problem. Now, it’s taking even LONGER to heat up. I don’t think it’s working at all now. Called the McKinney location, with my concern, they told me to call Plano because, again, they have no availability and said since Plano initially looked at it, they need to look at it again. Plano, then says that since I purchased the car at McKinney, that location is responsible for it. Back to McKinney, and the guy then told me that it has to definitely go back to Plano. No one wants to take responsibility for this issue. I’m very frustrated, and considering calling their corporate office! The heat NEVER worked properly, yet they want me to cover the cost for something that didn’t work properly when I purchased the car. Think twice before going to either Carmax location, bc the service department doesn’t really want to help you.

Do not trust this place, I traded in a cadillac escalade that ran perfect and had no issues, for a jeep wrangler that was newer. That jeep has overheated numerous times, was missing parts, had a fender fall off, and now will not start at all and I have only put 1500 miles on it since it was purchased. They claim they do some rediculous 100 plus point inspections but they dont, or the car I bought wouldnt repeatedly be dead on the road. Stay away from this place.

Bought my last several cars from Carmax, save for one unfortunate misadventure at Carvana. Best option if you suck at all the car buying games!

Didn't end up buying here this time, because my wife found a car she really loved at another dealership and they didn't have similar in stock nearby for same price.
That said, Randall was awesome and showed us a bunch of cars and answered all questions about them. He is a pro that can break down details and specs... I recommend you talk to him if you are car shopping. I bought my pickup last year from carmax. Really love the upfront pricing with no surprise random fees. I always check with them to see if they have best car for my family. (and you can have them ship in from other stores with relatively low fees if you know exactly what you want and local store doesn't have it)
Anyway.. Check them out if you are shopping
edit.. forgot to mention, when I bought my pickup last year, they delivered to my house for free so I didn't have to deal with uber or getting a ride to store to pickup...

Although I'm happy with my trade and purchase overall, Carolyn in the service department is a customer service star. She is absolutely amazing to work with!
