Took my truck in to Bob Tomes Ford and Josh Patterson was an excellent service provider. There was also a recall issue that needed addressing and Josh kept me updated on everything that was going on. He was pleasant and easy to work with.

Josh was our service person today and was very informative, accommodating, knowledgeable, polite and patient. All of our questions and concerns were addressed and taken care of expeditiously! The business is clean, people are friendly, children have an area to play and there is very interesting art pieces. throughout the dealership (I'm an art lover!).

I purchased my truck from BTF and the BTF Off-road team built it up in 2020. The entire process didn’t go perfect, (as is life) but overall, they made sure it was perfect and I was happy. The service dept does an excellent job. As busy as they always are, they do a great job with getting services in and out. Staff are all knowledgeable and willing to lend an ear and insight. Shoutout to Phillip G. and Rex S. for all of their continued help and allowing me to bug them and pick their brains on truck related questions. Thanks yall!

Dropped my car off to have it fixed and appraised at the beginning of February. I had to follow up every day with my "sales" person about my car being appraised and was given the run around for 3 weeks. After telling the repair shop that I no longer wished to have it appraised I was contacted and told my appraisal would be done whenever my car was picked up for repairs. I was scheduled to have roughly $5k worth of repairs done, which included an engine check. After picking my vehicle up I was contacted immediately about trading the vehicle in. I've been a loyal Ford customer, brand advocate all my life and this hands down the worst experience/branch I've ever dealt with. As a former insurance appraiser I was even more frustrated that my car only made it a week before there were additional issues making it undriveable. I would strongly urge anyone looking for a Ford to visit the North Central Ford in Richardson instead.
Update 9/11
After reading my post Ford reached out to me in am attempt make things right. However, as I soon found out this really just meant more of the same. The new service representative did get my car picked up for free however as stated above my main goal was to get my car appraised so that I could decide whether or not the repairs suggested made sense. After inspection of my vehicle I was notified that while my vehicle had initially gone under a full inspection the first time that the team who inspected my transmission/struts were not specialists and that the specialists suggested another $7k in repairs, but that they would "work with me" and bring that down to $4k. Once given this figure I asked what the appraised value of my vehicle was, and was told that it still had not been appraised. When my vehicle was returned to me that day there was in fact an appraisal value of $500 included with the paperwork for repairs.
Paying any money to this shop just guarantees you will end up returning sooner rather than later and pressured into making expensive repairs.

Recently there was a software update for a software bug fix to the navigation display on my 2023 explorer. I was proactively contacted by Bob Tomes Ford. The service advisor explained the process of their mobile services and sent out a mobile technician. Even though I did not buy my vehicle from this dealership, my understanding is that they are contracted by Ford to offer the mobile service to any Ford customer in their area.I very much appreciate the service. The technician showed up on time, thoroughly explained the process, delivered what he promised, and was gone in an efficient manner. They definitely earned a five star rating.
