went receNyla on February 2nd. I was experiencing some spotting at 9 weeks pregnant. Walking into the ER I noticed it was packed, as I approached the Front desk as always they asked me what was I there for, I stated I was spotting at 9 weeks and my doctor recommended I go to the ER. The lady who was an RN asked me why didn't you just go to them? I told her because they had no room and she stated well it would've been better to go to them instead of the hospital because it was packed. I immediately felt uncomfortable and asked do I need to call them and she replied no, just I was going to wait for 6 hours. That part wasn't the lie, I set there from 11:37-2:34 until I got called to the back for my sonogram. After my sono, i was placed back into the pit, after that I waited 2 more hours to be called for blood. The male nurse there that day was really nice to me. i was done all together around 3 close to 4. After that, I didn't see a do, a nurse 3 hours later who seem irritated with me to tell me my result. I would never go back here!!!!!!! If your looking for a caring team Baylor of McKinney is not it.

I just had to give props to Baylor Scott and White Hospitals here in Collin County TX. This is my 2nd surgery at one of their hospitals and both were professional from check in at the front desk all the way to the RN who wheeled me out to the car! They are immaculate and the board in the room is filled in and the names are changed when they change staff. They verified my information as far as medical history and what I was having done and what part of my body I was having it done on by multiple people! If you look at the bed they've placed the tv remote with the call button for me to have access to it. On the right side is the hose that you connect to your hospital gown to blow heat or air onto your body to keep yourself comfortable! Each person coming through asked me if I was comfortable or if I needed anything or if I had any questions! I'm impressed!

I wouldn't give this hospital 1 star. My husband and was brought in by the ambulance due to him losing conscious while at our home. When we arrived at this place (that they call a hospital) they didn't even have a bed for his. They sat him up in a chair while taking his vitals. He was shirtless and not one time did they offer him a blanket. He asked the RN Ashley A if the chair he was sitting in could recline because he was getting dizzy again. She didn't say anything just looked at him as if she didn't know how to respond to a black man. Then a blonde haired female (who they refused to give me her name) came in and instantly started being rude. They told us that he's going to have to go sit in the waiting area. I asked if there was anywhere for him to lay down and what happens if he passes out again since he's still unable to sit up. Ashley A response was he'll be sitting down. Very rude. Then the blonde haired female started getting an attitude with me. Because I told her my husband will be in the car until someone could see him. Her reply was if he leaves the waiting room they won't see him. We started going back and forth. I said I'll just take him out of here and she said "Do That and I don't care. It's your decision." Ashley A said all the hospitals are busy. I asked her if she worked for all the hospitals too. She said she has friends that work there. The blonde haired female just stood there looking at my husband not trying to help him get up. I told her to move if she's not going to help. I wheeled my husband to the lobby area until my son went to get the car. They had the nerve to call security as if I was irate. Those 2 females were getting rude and had the audacity to call the charge nurse Kira who never came out but instantly called them because we were black. This hospital has a 2.8 ratings because of their staff. I'm not going to say they are racist towards black people. But I'm sure am going to say we were mistreated. I left a message for someone to call me so I can make a complaint. This has got to stop. Baylor need to completely start over with new staff members before they get sued. I don't wish this type of treatment on anyone. No matter what race, gender, or age they are. Please pull video footage and ask security if i was being irate. I told security I didn't make any threats and I only got loud with the blonde haired female when she got loud with me. I'll be going above their pay grade to get to the bottom of this. If you or one of your family members are sick. Please go to Medical City of McKinney. Great place. Great staff. And my husband was seen right away. Look at their reviews compared to Baylor. This incident happened the morning of 12.23.23.

ER is so bad. Nurses are so rude and not well trained. Very delayed updates. Even asking for a blanket took forever. Please save your time and your life and don't ever come here.

I've had several friends here with various issues. All have said it was a good hospital. Today I was here visiting a long time friend that's encountered unfortunate circumstances. During my visit,I witnessed 3 different interactions with staff. All seemed very professional and coordinated. The building is very well designed and modern. Rooms are state of the art. Cafeteria, gift shop and above average visitor lounge, round out a nice facility.

Please be aware that this facility can have a ridiculously long wait time. We sat in the er waiting room for over six hours. If you have a serious emergency, this would be a good place. Think we would choose another place next time. Staff is very nice, though.

The ER department is amazing I went there last night, and the team for night shift was AMAZING! They listened to my concerns and took care of me in an efficient manner. This is the one ER that I have learned to trust. Even when it's really busy they stay focused on their patients. Nurse Practitioner Kelly Townsend and Ryan Harris MD. Were amazing!

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE !!! Went here to see my grandmother in the ER when she had fell. First of all our RN was not nice at all and not patient. When applying a lidocaine patch to her hip she basically was telling her to grab the railing of the bed knowing that she couldn't because of the pain shooting down her back and arms. Was not helping her whatsoever. WILL NOT BE RETURNING HERE.

Let me start off by saying I am typically not a person to leave reviews especially not bad ones but I am absolutely floored at what I am continuing to go through with a singular ER visit to Baylor Scott and White. It was Saturday May 6th and I went to a mud run with my family. While we were running through a large mud puddle my little brother kicked mud at me. He ends up hitting me directly in the eye. I tried to wash it out in the shower area but there was just so much mud caught in my eye I couldn't do it by myself so I go to the onsite medics who attempt to flush my eye. Unfortunately, after maybe twenty minutes of trying to get my eye clean they say they don't have the proper equipment to flush my eye any further and recommend we go to the ER to clean my eye out and to also make sure my eye isn't scratched or infected. So we head to the closest ER which unfortunately happened to be Baylor Scott and White. We arrive there and get checked in. They took my blood pressure, heart rate, and checked my breathing but then sent me straight back out to the waiting room until they had a room available to flush my eye. We end up sitting in this waiting room for about two hours. We periodically check with the receptionist to see where we are on the list and each time we go up she says it should only be about 15 more minutes. My eye is progressively getting more red and swollen. Personally, I like having two eyes to see out of so we decide to leave to find another ER who can get me in for an eye flush as quickly as possible. We were already worried about an infection or my cornea being scratched due to the enormous amount of time wasted sitting in Baylor Scott and White waiting room. Fortunately, Legacy ER got me in as soon as we got there despite having an equally as busy waiting room as Baylor Scott and White. My eye ends up being fine. A week or so passes and we are hit with an almost $400 medical bill from Baylor Scott and White. Mind you we have already paid Legacy ER for actually taking care of my eye which by the way did NOT include an extra charge of $400 for taking my vitals. So of course we assume this must be a mistake because we were not helped let alone saw or spoke with a doctor during our 2 hours there. We give the billing department a call and they agreed to send it back for review by a board. Another week or so passes and we are told the best they can do is discount it so it will end up being around $250. $250 for WHAT? Originally $400 for WHAT? My blood pressure and heart rate checked? Who in their right mind is charging anyone $250 let alone $400 for a nurse to take a patients vitals before they are even seen. We were not made aware beforehand having my vitals taken would cost $400 because let me tell you if someone told me that no way in hell would I have even stepped foot in there. If you value your time, money, and a business that practices transparency with its patients, Baylor Scott and White is absolutely NOT for you.
