I am extremely disappointed with the service at this store. I dropped off my string trimmer almost 10 weeks ago, and every time I call to check on the status, I get the same excuse: "We're still waiting on parts." What makes it worse is that they don't even ask for my ticket number or my name when I call—they just give me the same generic response. It's clear they don't care about customer service or getting the job done in a timely manner. At this point, I have no idea if they even started the repair or if I’ll ever get my trimmer back. Avoid this place if you expect any level of professionalism or urgency.

MCKINNEY ACE IS NOT THE PLACE WITH THE HELPFUL HARDWARE MAN!!
DENNIS IS NOT HELPFUL AT ALL AND IS VERY GRUMPY ?
I went in looking for a specific door latch that doesn’t use hardware, they are adhesive. The girl at the front was very nice and looked at the picture I showed her and went back to the office looked up the product and informed me that they don’t carry them but they could order them, She asked me to go to the helpful hub and ask the man there to order them for me, I went back to The Helpful hub and Dennis came after the phone rang about 15 times I stated with the girl had told me, and he seemed very annoyed and said those are at Walmart so obviously he didn’t want my business at Ace Hardware. No worries I won’t be back.

The store manager is the worst. Would not accept the $20 off coupon listed on my Ace Hardware app. The product I purchased was entered incorrectly by the store and I used the $20 off coupon. When they re-entered it correctly the manager said I could not use the $20 off coupon because it had already been entered. All their fault but no responsibility taken.

What happened to the friendly knowledgeable employees they had? I had to hunt for help and even the cashier didn't understand when I asked for someone to answer questions. I much much prefer Ace to Home Depot where you could drop dead in the aisle and people would step over you, but Ace was not it's regular helpful hardware place on my last visit.

Had what I needed in a pinch to fix my AC Unit. Nice to support smaller local stores or at least it has that hometown feel I like over big box stores.

Uninformed and grumpy bad customer service + high prices = BAD BUSINESS MODEL.
Store associates should know their processes. Managers shouldn't roll their eyes at customers.
Definite need of employee training AT EVERY LEVEL.

DAVID “DJ” (Assistant Store Mgr…I am BLOWN AWAY for starters!! My husband and I just had the most incredible experience at this store! We would give 1000 stars if we could! We have a three year old EGO mower that wouldn’t start and is not under warranty. We were so grateful that starting with Ed on the phone, we could even bring it in and have it diagnosed!!! We understood it could take up to two months for repair but “DJ” checked it immediately and thought it might be a fuse. Within 15 minutes (or less) we were walking out with our WORKING EGO lawn mower!!!! How kind everyone there was from Ed to the cashier (so sorry I didn’t get her name to “DJ” who went above and beyond to take the time to make what was a nightmare for two grateful people in their mid 70’s into one of life’s greatest Blessings!!! We can not thank you enough “DJ” for what you did for us today!!! You are a BLESSING!!! (…and please thank Ed…so helpful and started the ball rolling!)
