The Nightmare at Walgreens:
I had a terrible experience at the Walgreens in McAllen, Texas, on July 3rd. We arrived and were behind two cars in the drive-thru line before they close and keep in mind there were two trucks ahead of us receiving services.
We were there before 8:00 pm, close to the pharmacy's closing time. As I finally made it to the counter, hoping to get my hands on some much-needed migraine and swelling medication, I was met with a cold, heartless response. The pharmacy technician callously informed us that she didn't care about our pain or the fact that we had been waiting before closing hours. She callously denied service to a severely ill customer in excruciating pain, showing a complete lack of empathy and compassion.
I was appalled by this blatant disregard for customer well-being. How could a healthcare professional turn a blind eye to someone in desperate need of help? It left me feeling helpless, with nowhere to turn for the medication I so urgently required.
This is not just about a single employee's actions; it reflects a systemic issue within the store that needs to be addressed. Customers should not have to plead for basic medical assistance, especially when it is well within the store's capacity to provide it.
I demand accountability and swift action. No one should have to endure such treatment when seeking essential medical care. It's time for Walgreens to take responsibility and ensure that all customers are treated with the care and respect they deserve.
My voice may be just one among many, but together, we can request accountability and transparency.

Only one cashier in the store needed to deposit cash and was asked to get in line again because the mic they use to call the manager/supervisor was dead. The line had already gotten log due to it being one cashier that could not pick up the intercom.

Pharmacy works on Sunday as well. Pharmacists take longer time to get your medicines ready. One pharmacy you can count on for emergency need during weekends.
