Hotel Matador is a hidden gem in the panhandle, offering cozy and small town comfortable vibes with modern conveniences. The building and rooms are really well done, creating a great ambiance. Rooms are super clean, neat, well stocked, and have super comfy beds. The new owners have made a lot of improvements. They are excellent, very friendly, welcoming, accommodating, caring, and wonderful hosts who are willing to help. They have added a bakery that is flat out amazing, with pastries that are flaky and tasty. The food they prepare is amazing and truly off-the-charts amazing, including breakfasts and dinner by request. Guests can enjoy the courtyard and the wonderful history of the building. The check-in process is easy and fast. It is a place of perfect West Texas hospitality and is highly recommended for a wonderful experience.
There are new owners here and honestly they've made a lot of improvements. The beds are great and the bathrooms are great. They've added a bakery and it is flat out amazing. The pastries are flaky and tasty. Everything we had from the bakery was top notch. This is a hidden gem in the panhandle.
