“I stopped here on my scenic route to San Antonio. It's a sleepy little community full of charming people. I needed a bite to eat and something to drink so I pulled into this little place, typical gas station layout. You can tell its the happening place in town because of all the deli choices of hot foods. The cashiers were very pleasant. But what i really want to emphasize in this review is that their homemade chicken tenders were the best I have ever had. I would like to think that I am a chicken tender connoisseur because they are my favorite thing to eat. I stop at every chicken place i possibly can to get them, especially on road trips. The chicken tenders at this little gas station were amazing!!! THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD!!! That Sunday on my way back home I specifically went through Marquez again so that I could get them again but they weren't available. They had some little precooked frozen tenders that weren't horrible but not good either. They (the frozen ones) were way over-priced. Apparently the fresh homemade ones are only available at certain times on certain days. I was so disappointed. But if you get the chance and you can catch them when they're making the fresh homemade ones, i promise you will be very happy that you did!!!”
