Horrible customer service. 5 months to do my basic taxes, even with dropping them off 2 months prior to tax day. No communication and unprofessional.Do not recommend.

After seeing favorable reviews for The Tax Lady, I decided to have my taxes prepared locally instead of in Austin. Boy what a mistake! From the first visit to the office in person, it was less than professional when I was approached by an older woman asking for my social security number in front of a crowded waiting area, I should have known it was a bad sign! I went ahead and decided to overlook this incident and decided to have her take care of my taxes. I requested an extension in April 2022 which she did file on my behalf. I submitted my documents to her August 8th and was told that once she reviewed and completed my taxes I would be requested to pay for her services. After many unanswered texts and delays I was finally told that she had not reviewed my information nor had anything prepared to submit to the IRS as of September 27th. With a IRS deadline approaching on October 17th, I was quite distressed that she hadn't even looked at my information after having it for 5 weeks. She informed me that most tax preparers have a 3 month turn around for a personal tax preparation. I find that absurd! I've used another tax firm in Austin until they retired and never had to wait 3 months for my taxes to be prepared! Do yourself a favor and avoid this business.

We have used this service for a few years. She has been fast and detailed as well as has a very reasonable price. I don't trust myself to file my own taxes if it isn't just the 1040ez. She is also family friendly with things for the kids to do while you have the wonderful joy of filing your taxes (in all seriousness it is great she has things for the little ones). We plan on using her year after year as long as she is still here.

Stacy does my taxes every year. She is very good and I would recommend Stacy to anyone that needs book keeping or just needs to file their income tax.
