Kwik Kar lube & Tune is located on E Broad in Mansfield, TX, serving up the local community in all car related services, including oil changes, brakes, and even state inspections.I came in to get a state inspection for my car that is required yearly by the state to ensure your car is safe for the road. They check brakes, lights, emissions, and more. They opened at 8 a.m., and I went ahead and called to ask if an appointment Is required. The gentleman replied that no appointment is nessasary and it's first come, first serve basis. I went ahead and drove there and was serviced immediately! There was no line, and I was told to wait in the waiting room. Inside the room, they have a full complimentary coffee bar with sugar and creamer for your daily caffeine needs. They also have restrooms, a TV, and chairs to sit in while you wait for your vehicle. Within 10 minutes, my car was finished, and I paid. The value is standard for all vehicles since it is mandated by the state. I was given a receipt with the inspection to take to the county tax office to get my 2024 sticker stating that my car passed. The service was so quick and efficient that I hurried up and drove home to pick up my second car to bring in for another state inspection.I wish when bringing in my car they informed me on what they were checking but unfortunately I had to search on what was inspected on the internet beforehand. The team did such a great job that I will be back in the future for other services they provide but not for another inspection since the in 2025 state inspections will not be required.

Went in for an oil change and had a bad experience with a technician being dishonest! I came back and made contact with Alex, he instantly took responsibility of the entire situation and got everything taken care of without me having to leave my vehicle! I really appreciate Alex honesty and dedication to the service he provides, Definitely the type of service that’s hard to come by!

I want to clarify that I'm only leaving a review about Bobby, the Assistant Manager, who is typically the only manager working. There are many things that have happened with my car at the Kwik Kar on Broad Street in Mansfield, TX, but Bobby has helped me navigate through some things. Most recently, Bobby realized that the prior mechanics (2 of them) who worked on my car, did not put in the correct battery in my car when they installed a new one. He switched out for the better battery I asked him about, so that my car would start correctly and not leave me stranded. I went up there at the end of the day, about 30 minutes before they closed, and he was able to contact Autozone, verify the correct battery, order it, proceeded to pick up the battery himself, and install it himself. I appreciate Bobby taking care of me, and I think he is a trustworthy mechanic and store manager, as I cannot and will not speak as to other previously employed mechanics or other store managers. On a whole, I feel that you can ask Bobby for his opinion, and he will tell you the truth and do his very best to help you so that your car is safe for you to drive. I also believe his role as Assistant Manager is key to the branch continuing to have steady business, as you may not receive the same quality of service from others. I think Bobby is a good mechanic, and I will continue to work with him to make sure my car is safe as long as I am working only with Bobby. Bobby is very approachable and is easy to talk to, coupled with the fact that he is very knowledgeable about cars and mechanic work in all aspects from batteries and engines to after-market stereo systems and car fluids. If someone there makes a mistake, give Bobby the chance to make things right because he appears to genuinely care about you and your vehicle.

Chris was amazing. I went to get my oil changed yesterday and my car started jerking and shaking afterwards. Doing things it wasn’t doing before the oil change. I went back to explain what was going on and ofcourse I was irritated because I didn’t come with those issues. Chris explained everything to me about what was going on and was so patient with me. He allowed me to be upset with him all while keeping his composure. He is the new mechanic they have working there and he is amazing. If it wasn’t for Chris I probably would be writing a bad review right now. But he’s great!! We need more people like Chris. :) I would recommend them because of Chris and his knowledge and professionalism.Service: Oil change

Customers beware. Keep looking for another car service. This place is a complete rip-off. > $100 for an oil change on a 2009 car? Highway robbery. Watch your receipt for added services and charges that they can't explain either. Can't imagine there are any repeat customers.Service: Oil change

I recently had an unfortunate experience at this location. Not only did the mechanics seem ill-equipped to handle the problem with my vehicle, but they also made attempts to fix things beyond their expertise which only further complicated the issue. I expected better judgment from professionals in this industry. To make matters worse, when I approached the management for resolution, their response was far from satisfactory. There’s a clear need for retraining and better oversight to ensure that customers receive the service they’re promised and pay for. Would strongly recommend caution if considering their services.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I went in yesterday for my inspection and squeaky breaks. I'm told 45 mins and it's my back breaks. Seems strange since I only have 34k miles on my car and I'm not hauling anything to stress out my back breaks...but ok. 2 hours later my car is test driven and he returns, lifts it back up, and lubes up some things. It's obvious he knew something wasn't quite right. 2.5 hours later I'm back on the road and my breaks are STILL squeaky. It's clearly the front drivers side. I can hear it with my music up! The mechanic knew. It was immediate and obvious. I would have gladly bought both front and back breaks if they said I needed them but instead I feel like I was taken advantage of and lied to. I left with the same issue I came in with and $389 less than I had. I took it to Christian Brothers that afternoon and wouldn't you know it's my front drivers side break. They took care of me for half price to fix this companies wrong. I won't return. If you're a woman I would recommend a 2nd opinion.

I am so appreciative of the kindness shown to us at this Kwik Kar. My son had an issue changing his oil and couldn't get the filter off. We came to this Kwik Kar and they took off the filter, put in the one he brought with him and checked his oil....for no charge. I insisted on paying several times and the guy simply said "You're good" with a smile on his face. Thank you so much. We truly appreciate your kindness. Please consider this location for your auto needs.

Supposedly don’t carry “spare washers” for an oil change, which is wild since they did it for me every time before with no issues. They couldn’t even reset my oil maintenance sign on my car or even put a new sticker on for the next service, all I have to say is don’t trust any of the young people there, they have no clue how to take care of customers.Service: Oil change

Got my oil change and my car hasn’t been the same since. Gas draining, fluids draining and all of a sudden my check engine light came on 2 weeks after. I never have problems with my car. Should’ve stuck with Valvoline.Service: Oil change

If you have a newer vehicle, sure. But if you’re looking for someone to just look at your ‘old’ honda accord, don’t. One of the mechanics offered me $200 for my car. They just looked at my transmission fluid which is oxidizing and told me I need a new transmission. Wouldn’t check out my vehicle and make some suggestions. Save yourself if you have a real problem w/ your vehicle and don’t come here unless you just need an oil change.

I'm not sure why, but I was told my oil pan was stripped, and the oil plug was loose. Because of this, I was told that they could not service my vehicle. I then took my vehicle back to the NTB that serviced my vehicle last - I told them the issues. NTB then showed me the oil pan and plug was intact. NTB told me to take the vehicle to Jiffy Lube for an oil change. To note: I haven't had any issues with my vehicle since my previous oil change. *I'm not sure why Kwik told me this.*

Went here for a state inspection when my regular guy down the street was out on leave. Wish I hadn’t. These idiots failed my inspection claiming my wiper blades were bad. Charged me $45 extra bucks for two new blades that I didn’t need. On top of that, while I was waiting the manager pointed out to one of the Techs a line of oil trailing out of the garage bay and down the street. The managers comment was just “wow”. These idiots just blew up somebody’s engine by forgetting to replace an oil drain plug after they serviced it. Didn’t even bother to try and track down the customer to fix it. Yes sir, “wow” doesn’t even begin to describe how poor your service is here. Don’t worry, I will NEVER be back here again.

I was a long term supporter and friend of the previous owners. Took my 2020 Ram in today for an oil change and told the technician that I had my own oil ( 5W-20 Mobile 1 and Mobile one filter. I looked some time later to see the same young man putting my two empty 5 quart containers in the trash can. I approached him and asked where was the left over oil and he said, "I put all 10 quarts in". Needless to say I was furious. I approached another employee and asked if he was the manager. He said he wasn't but asked if anything happened due to the overfilled crankcase. I said not yet. It's still in your bay. He said they would drain the extra oil.A short time later I was informed that my truck was ready. No apology for this potentially damaging screwup. Clearly there's a lack of training and little supervision in this shop. Will not be returning!!!
