Went in to buy Pokémon Shining Pearl, and Dallas was very helpful! She helped me find the game I was looking for quick and was very pleasant. By far my best GameStop experience yet!

Rude Employee. Purchased multiple items a month ago and could not get the headset to work. Walked in today and first words out of employee was “We do not take back headsets”.I replied that was just going to ask a question. He did answer the question which was helpful but would not look at the product.He then said “have a great day”.

Buck, The redheaded store manager up here, is kind of a jerk, and has been for years. First problem was when I tried to return a brand new game I just purchased because it was for the wrong console and he tried to give me the resale credit value when I had literally just walked out of the store no less than 30 minutes prior. I had to go to a another GameStop at Debbie Lane/287, where they actually gave a hoot about their customers.The second time was today, when I went in to trade a PS5 game. I showed him an ID, which was apparently expired, and he made some comment about how he’s doing me a favor and just ignore the expiration date on my ID, which I was unaware of. I thought he was speaking on my rewards membership, so I ignored it initially. Then he proceeded to try and sell me a renewal to their rewards program, which I had no interest in due to the fact the app is outdated and that the PowerPoints reward program they have associated with it is broken. He tried to insist that it had somehow been magically fixed with no detail or context provided, and I repeatedly kept telling him no. I get that it’s his job, but then he proceeded to ask what was wrong with me because of my complete disinterest in his pitch. Annoyed that I even had to deal with this level of nonsense just to buy a video game, I had to spell out for him why I was not interested, and he kept repeating that he was doing me a favor and that I needed to show him respect because he ignored the expiration date on my ID. With that, I proceeded to pull out my other state ID and show it to him since he kept making a stink about it, which made him ask if I wanted him to back out of the whole trade and try again with that ID. I told him that was on him. He proceeded with the trade with the initial ID. I literally just came in because somebody gave me a gift card and I wanted to get Armored Core 6. The guy is just a jerk and a corporate shill. Because of his attitude, I will never be coming back to GameStop at any location. Customer service like him is why I purchased my games online.Not only that, but then the staff or manager has the balls to make fake reviews with racist names criticizing their own customers While leaving their location a five star review. What a joke. Take the time to drive down to the location off of Debbie Lane/287.

I will second the negative reviews about the bearded ginger, I'm not going to waste anymore of my time explaining what I just went through with this dude just because I didn't want a membership, It's not the fact that he's trying to sell stuff, Mr Ying yang in the fake review, it's the approach of selling it and how he acts like the red headed step child when he doesn't get his way.......hmmmm. coincidence, I think not!!! Buck or butch or whatever his unimportant name is and the black haired dude with glasses off of 287 will both be in checkmate when their locations close down just like the midlothian location simply because as consumers we can buy games anywhere, and now I choose not to buy them from any gamestop anymore.
