I was asked to come back later because the associate didn’t know how to do a return. Her manager and another associate were outside talking while there was a line. The issue is that this company doesn’t pay their employees enough to care. I will never shop here again.

I am writing to express my concern regarding an incident that occurred at your Dollar General store on Sunday 4-14-24. My Mom who 83 yrs old, Louise unfortunately experienced a hostile environment and mistreatment at this Dollar General store #17241 2851 N. Main St. Mansfield Tx 76063, she purchased a case of water and had asked a sales associate if she could help her put it in her car, because she had a disability and really bad arthritis in her arms and hands. The sales associate told her yes of course, to ask for help after she checked out and she would be glad to help put the water in her car. After my Mom checked out, she asked the store manager Brittney if she could get her some help to put the water in her car. Brittney answered NO. Dollar General doesn’t load items in customers vehicles. My Mom told Brittney ( store manager) that she has been going to this store location since they opened and that she has always gotten assistance with loading items in her car. My Mom questioned her and asked why? Was this not a practice that Dollar General does. Brittney ( store manager) also stated she didn’t know what my Mom could have in her car. My Mom tried to explain to her that she was disabled and had arthritis, Brittney ( store manager) told my Mom she was disabled to. The sales associate that offered to help my Mom to begin with is the HERO who chimed in and said she would load the water in her car for her. Thank you ma’am for being so nice to my elderly mom.
Is this the kinda of customer service training Dollar General management teams receives?
This is an awful way to treat our elderly community.

First time I've been to a DG with a self checkout. The store was stocked and not crowded. I self checked and was out of there.

Went to go buy my son a roblox gift card and the cashier wouldn’t sell me the card. When I asked why she said “because I said!” Then said the manager said not to let anyone purchase them. Not sure why they were even out if they aren’t available for purchase. She was beyond rude. Will never go back to this location. If I could give a zero I would! Thankfully the employees on Debbie Lane were very friendly and I was able to purchase a gift card there!

Cashiers work hard to keep store clean as well as be helpful and have a quick checkout, a real feat when old drunk men are constantly flirting and buying beer. Please don't make your local cashiers uncomfortable, men!

Worst customer service. I've called multiple times and they pick up and just sit on the phone and not say anything and then hang up every single time. Don't go here.
