The staff is highly unprofessional. The doctor and staff are racist, and the doctor practices horrible medicine. Avoid this place at all costs!

This is the best animal clinic, I have ever been to! Dr. Cukjati treats your pet as they would their own! He doesn’t believe in overcharging like so many other vet offices and puts all his attention in what is best for the patient! We are now forever clients and will never go to another vet again! I am so thankful for everything they did to help my Louie!

It's a nice clinic there. The waiting area is pretty small. I wish they'd learn to schedule a little better considering I had to wait 30 minutes after my scheduled time. Still, the staff was kind and helpful. I'll be going there going forward.

Dr. C is an angel from Heaven as far as I am concerned. My elderly cat was given a very bad prognosis (at the Pet ER), was going to require expensive surgery from an orthopedic surgeon. I called around: was looking at thousands of dollars. Here, and I held off on this review until the procedure worked (or didn't), but they were able to save her and for a fraction of the cost (by avoiding the surgery and using a different approach which was successful). What else can I say? Oh, she came in twice for followup checkups, all included w/ the original bill, I was never charged. I owe this office more than this review can state. Thank you so very much!

This place is horrible! My dog got dropped off this morning for his surgery to get neutered. I didn’t like the fact we were told they didn’t have a set time for his surgery, but they would call us, when he was all done. After hours went by, we called and were told that they did not perform the surgery bc they didn’t get to him, mind you he was the first pup dropped off this morning. After racing up to get to get my dog, they retrieve him and I see that he was in a kennel with his collar and leash still on. My dog drank a bowl of water and pissed what seemed like minutes. The way my dog was treated today was inhumane. I will never recommend this place or go back. On top of that, they tried to charge us for keeping my dog in the kennel today. This place is a joke!

Dr C & his staff are great this place really cares for the animals more than over charging you for too much money. I've been taking my did Bella here for about 3 years & will continue to do so as long as there in business. If your looking for a good vet at a reasonable price this is the place to go.

I’ve been coming to Debbie Lane Animal Clinic for most of the 5 years or so that they’ve been open. Dr. Cukjati is the best vet I’ve ever had for my pets. He cured one of my foster kitties of a respiratory disease that literature said was incurable. He did knee surgery on my Lab and that leg was stronger than the one he didn’t operate on. And his dental skills are consummate. He was the first certified animal dentist in the north Texas area. He does regular cleanings as well as root canals and other dental procedures as a big part of his practice. Dr. Cukjati is compassionate toward the animals and the human owner. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for care for my animal babies.

Most of the reviews on here are mistakenly for Penny Paws or are years old. I am shocked this clinic had such high ratings.I took my recently paralyzed from a fall cat here simply for laser therapy as they quoted very cheap prices. They fairly required an exam prior to laser therapy. The moment i walked in for my appt everything went wrong.-forms/cases completely unorganized, they had no idea who I was, why I was there, and couldn’t find the info.- no exam rooms have working doors. They left doors wide open for other appts pets such as dogs to come in to approach my cat. I even tried shutting the doors and none latched. Some rooms merely had a curtain.-Dr. did examine xrays from ER from my cats paralyzing fall 4 months ago, stating he had found “fractures”-contradicting to the ER, primary vet, and neurologist who all agreed there were no fractures.Dr did not even consider or was willing to view current medications my cat was on before prescribing what he thought would work. I tried to ask questions and he ignored me completely, gathered expired medications, a new diet, expired supplements, and antibiotics all without my consent and sent me on my way to pay expecting someone else to explain things to me.-nurse and front desk attendants all stated they were recently hired and still figuring things out so they couldn’t be much help but tried. I denied all supplements, medications, and diet plan but paid for the antibiotics. I was able to afford them at a cheaper price at Petsmart.I gave them a second chance a few days later for another laser appt. Went even worse!- All I wanted was laser treatment. A nurse could have done this in 10 mins and sent me on my way. Besides they had two sudden dog emergencies so I didn’t intend to be looked twice at. All exam rooms were occupied, they wheeled out a platform for her in the hall with two dogs roaming. I asked to keep her in her carrier and do the laser and leave. They said no the Dr wants to see her.- Dr asked if I had seen improvement and I said no but that i followed the treatment plan- giving supplements, new diet food and waiting until my cats diarrhea cleared up before giving antibiotics. Dr agreed and said continue doing that. Dr did the laser treatment then looked at cats chart confused and asked again if I had followed his instructions. I said yes and repeated myself from earlier. He was then offended claiming he never stated to wait on giving antibiotics?! I then took the opportunity to ask if it’s safe to give the antibiotics on top of her current medications. He was then shocked and responded “what medications?! If you don’t want to follow my treatment plan then I need to step away from this case and can’t help you. Is that what you want?!”. I quietly backpedaled and said of course I want your help I just don’t know about crossing her medications like her GabaP or probiotics that she’s been on for months?^ Dr then was upset he didn’t know cat was on these and said stop them immediately and continued to the treatment plan.^^ at the end of the appt I echoed Dr. words of stopping the current meds and doing his treatment plan. Yet again Dr was offended and said no he never said any of that?! All of a sudden hes now saying taper cat off current meds then administer new treatment plan. I echoed this back to him in validation and went through the gaslighting circle again! He said no i never said that. Administer new treatment now and taper off cat on current meds. WHAT?! I asked him AGAIN is it safe to cross meds like that and he scoffed and walked away to a new patient. The nurse herself said “sorry hes older and has hearing problems” Dr and nurse pushed again all the same EXPIRED pills/food from the first appt and said just pay and go. Front desk lady was understanding as if she knew and I declined pills/food again and canceled future appts.DONT GO HERE. DR IS TOO OLD AND HAS HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION,HEARING,AND MEMORY ISSUES. NOT EVEN WILLING TO WRITE DOWN TREATMENT PLAN INSTRUCTIONS. Only good thing is they seem sympathetic and they’re cheap.

Nothing but good things to say here. I brought in my river with concerns for a UTI that wasn’t being taken care of by a previous vet clinic. Quickly our world was changed in a few hours. River is a unique case being born with both male and female organs. With that being said finding a vet that is willing to treat her effectively is quite difficult as her condition is extremely rare and most never come across an animal like this in their vet career. Dr. C quickly went to work to save rivers life. We ran into complication after complication. Not once did he turn us away when her case got hard. He saved our rivers life. The entire staff was there helping her as she was fighting hard. We didn’t think she’d pull through this, but he knew she had a little fight left. He gave her the best care I’ve ever experienced with any animal. This man truly cares about the animals that’s comes in, and we are beyond grateful we found him, because we might not of come home with our cat if we went somewhere else. It’s been a very long recovery process, but I want to say thank you to the entire team at Debbie Lane animal Clinic and Dr. C for helping us bring river home. Here is River now living her best life happy! (River just celebrated her first birthday in November, is now 1y 4m)

Had a great first visit. I was so impressed with the way all the animals interacted with each other. At one point, there were 4 big dogs in the waiting area, and all dogs were mellow and wagging their tails. I have never seen that before.
