I called this AutoZone and asked the manager on duty, “how much money do you give per battery core?” He states “$10 per core.”
I then go to the store ten minutes after the phone call. Same manager helps me at the desk, I had two car batteries with me ready to sell. I then confirmed with him that it is $10 per battery core. I asked the manager “so it is $20.” he states “yes.” So we make the transaction. He proceeds to hand me a merchandise card. I explained “you never said anything about a merchandise card. I was expecting cash.” He stared at the ceiling and stated there is nothing he can do about it. I asked if I could get the batteries back and reverse the transaction. He stated no. He never once told me the amount would go on a merchandise card. I’m very unhappy with this location and employee.

Second time getting awful service from this location. First time I had brought my mom to check her battery because she had to get a battery jumped at her job. The service man claimed that it was just her "low battery remote." We replaced her key fob battery just for her car to die the next day and instead she took it to Oreily where they checked and changed her battery.
Then today I had AAA jump start my dead car and tell me that my battery was dead. I had gotten a battery less than a year ago from a different Autozone location so inevitably it was still under warranty. After AAA jump started my car, I took it straight to this location where the guy who helped me (who turned out to be one of the supervisors) checked my battery and told me, "it's fine there's nothing wrong, if it happens two or more times just take it to a mechanic." Most insensitive and irresponsible response I've heard in my life! Who has time for their car to die on the road when I have 2 jobs and a child to attend to. I took it to Oreily for a second opinion, where they told me within 2 seconds that my battery was dead and that Autozone probably just doesn't care to help. My car ended up not even starting back up WHILE I'M IN OREILY PARKING LOT! I had to make my daughter walk with me to Autozone, where I was finally able to get help by two different workers, however, not without hearing them talk in the back about how I'm probably wrong about my battery being dead and hearing them say "well why doesn't oreily get her back up and running." The problem ended up being the Alternator! However, it took an hour for them to test this, putting myself and my child in agony and desperation over needing to get back on the road for work and other commitments! Had the first guy that helped me taken not even five minutes to fully test and diagnose my alternator, I could've gotten it to my mechanic and fixed the same day! Now I am without a vehicle until I can get to my mechanic in the morning when they open ! Unable to move myself and my child around! This long review isn't for exaggeration or pittie, it's so that you guys can reflect on how un-empathetic and careless your customer service is. Something that seemed so small to you guys ended up costing me a lot of lost time. I value good service and am willing to spend money on quality, but stop treating people as if they are trying to waist their valuable time! How would you guys have felt if someone treated your mom, grandma, sister or daughter like this ? Self reflect and IMPROVE !

Last Sunday 3/232013 Jonathan Parker help me he was great I had nail in my tire it’s was late so I stop at the store to get a kid to patch the tire he told me how to use the kit and even when outside the help I’m thankful that he help me I was able to get home safe! I think he is a great asset to your team.

the attendant who serviced me was very nice and had an awesome attitude. i was in and out with a battery replacement in like 5 minutes when i needed to get to work on time. will definitely be going back if i need anything.

Curtis and Hayden are amazing and give great customer service. It was late and they made us feel very welcome. We went to another store around the corner that refused to help. Thank God Curtis and Hayden stepped up. They had us on our way safely.

Jonathan, & the crew at AUTO ZONE in Mansfield have done it again. I'd bragged to my brother about AUTO ZONE making it such a good experience when my taillight was stolen. The Ford house quoted him $1400.00 for his taillight replacement. JONATHAN didn't have a taillight for his truck but he looked it up & sent the screen print to him. The taillight will be delivered, he'll have to put it on but savings of OVER $1000.00.JONATHAN at AUTO ZONE is the the best man for your truck n car questions.
