As far as dealerships go, these guys are the most trustworthy as far as I’m concerned. I’ve bought two Ford Mavericks from them and unlike many dealerships throughout the country, I didn’t pay anything above MSRP. The second Maverick I tried to order after order banks had closed but Riata Ford found me the truck I wanted to pretty much the exact specs of what I would’ve ordered and other than the delivery fee, it was the exact same price as if I’d ordered it online! My sales guy Joel was great, and kept me in the loop through the entire process. They really go above and beyond to do things right and make customers happy, which I’ve not experienced at a lot of dealerships. And when you need to communicate with them, they’re always very prompt about responding.

Riata Ford's people make ALL the difference! After contacting and visiting numerous dealerships, Riata Ford clearly excelled far above ALL. I had visited dealerships all across the Austin metro area - actually walked out of one because of the way I was treated - had my questions brushed aside like they didn't matter, and was basically treated like I was an idiot after questioning what all the extra "packages" and "costs" that were being added were for (and being told they were mandatory). It was a truly horrible experience - UNTIL I walked into Riata Ford. The difference in attitude and customer service was palpable. I cannot say enough great things about my sales consultant, Henry Smith! Henry is so kind, upbeat and respectful. Henry wanted me to get exactly what I wanted in the terms that worked for me; I never felt pressured by Henry. He is genuine and such a pleasure to work with. Everyone thanked me for my purchase, including the general sales manager - and it was sincere; you could tell they appreciate your business. Carlos Perez, finance manager, made the finance part of the deal a breeze; he's awesome! I promise you, you cannot go wrong with Riata Ford!!

Was able to deal entirely over email with Henry and was able to come to a very fair deal. I completed all the paperwork and got financing from my home. All I had to do what show up, pay my down payment and leave. I was stuck waiting for the only finance guy for a little to submit my payment, but with Henry realized he found way to take care of things with a sales manager. I could have been faster, but the Riata team did what they could to speed things up. Very excited to get such a great deal on my Maverick. I'll fur sure be a return customer.

I worked at a dealership and wouldn’t recommend - Swindled by Service - I called ahead and decided to go with this dealership due to having loaners/rentals available while my car was being worked on, and knew what work I needed done.
After meeting with the service advisor, he wrote down the services I told him I needed done and gave me an 'estimate' of $225, and if they found anything else needing repair beyond the estimate they would call me to let me know. For the repairs I needed done, I fully expected that estimate to increase...but it was misdirection, and frankly, dishonest. The service advisor called back to tell me that total repairs would come to $2,250. The $225 'estimate' I was quoted was the diagnostic fee that I'm now on the hook for even though I'll be taking my car elsewhere for repairs at this point.
I asked to cut down to the cost for just one of the repairs I needed....which was still more than 3x the high end of what that service should cost, parts and labor included.
Curious what they are doing on the rental car they put me in, I looked at the paperwork a bit closer. 200 mile limit included with the rental, 20 cents per mile over.....all standard...but they understated the mileage out by 100 miles (Stated as 104 miles, was actually 204 miles when I left the dealership).
Having worked on the sales side of a dealership before, it’s on me for not recognizing and keeping top of mind that service pulls stunts like this too. There’s gross profit generating tactics that are clever but fair, and there are those that are simply underhanded and scummy. It’s clear to me that this dealership is one that operates on the latter, and I recommend staying far away from this dealership.

Overall the experience was pretty great, especially for an out of state sale. There are a few small things we are still working on settling, but Duke, Mike, Nancy and Jeff have been a pleasure to work with. Duke went out of his way to get me the car I was looking for and also worked hard with the rest of the team to get the deal through. I would look to buy from them again in a few years even though I am all the way on the east coast.Car arrived quickly and all went well. Hopefully the last few parts of the deal/paperwork goes well :)

I have been to several dealers in the Austin area including AutoNation which was god awful and did not accept my outside financing and was super uncommunicative. Let me tell you when I came to Riata Ford I was so pleased with the efficiency, communication, professionalism and just all around good vibes in the dealership. That’s saying a lot considering its a car dealership, but the morale was just that commendable. I had the pleasure of working with Henry Smith and Carlo Perez who were so great, I can’t say enough positive things about all of the staff here. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a car in the Austin area! It’s worth the drive.
