Hands down the best go to shop for all my truck repair needs anywhere near the Austin area,,
Literally quoted me a thousand less than the guys down the street,, and finished within the time frame I was first given.
The workmanship was A1, and dealing with Nick and the other guy that helped me (I didn't catch his name) was super pleasant.
They're real cool guys and you can tell they kno their stuff.
They even topped off my fluid as I was heading out at no charge, even tho it had nothing to do with the job I was there for.
10/10 I would give more stars if I could

Took my truck 2006 international 4300 dt466 with burnt transmission. Their options were to replace new for $6984, rebuilt no estimate or swap with owner provided trans for $2034. I went with a swap option for $2034.
After swap, it won't shift, and they needed to do fresh diagnostics, but I declined.
Reasons
1. They're too expensive. I figured out they'd come around with another huge ticket bearing in mind that the trans I pulled out for $350 in dallas shop, they charged me $2537 just to install.
2. Despite their premium rates, they failed to advise me fully on what to expect with swapped trans.
3. I did correct trans fluid level check procedures, and the dip stick could barely touch fluid, meaning it was missing about 1 gallon. They said they filled exactly 3.75 gallons that it calls for. However, upon contacting stewart and stevenson, they said that when you swap torque converter, the only way to ensure correct fill is to perform level check with the dip stick.
4. Tom was arrogant, without fair judgment. He told me, "YOU BROUGHT US A BAD TRANSMISSION."
But after searching thro websites someone pointed out that each allison trans goes with own tcm, so I went back to get the tcm from the truck they'd pulled the trans and once I plugged in, it started shifting just fine.
However, after about 70 miles of driving, it started the same problem, like with the old trans, overheating trans fluid. This promted us to pull down the trans cooler attached to the radiator, and upon unscrewing the inlet port of the cooler, we found plenty of debris. We ended up replacing the radiator, and that solved the problem. Meaning that even with a new trans and not replacing the radiator, it would still burn it.
Finally, we decided to inspect if there were further damages by pulling down the pan and changing both the filters and gasket, Lucky enough, there seems to be no damage.
4B claims to have flushed the cooler, but unfortunately, that didn't work. Also, it's obvious they didn't attempt to inspect it physically despite noticing lots of metal filings from the old trans

I would definitely recommend them!!!
Had to use them for road call to do water pump. I believe I spoke to Nick on the phone and he told me how long it would take to replace it and what they charge for road service. Updated me via text when he found the part and when they are expecting it in there shop before they come to my truck. After everything was done there were no surprises on my bill and everything was fair and honest. And repair was done quick.
Thank you very much 4B Diesel Services if I ever need service in your area you guys will be my first call.

Coach Net sent this service to replace our DEF sensor in Austin TX during our travels (you know what happens when it doesn’t read the diesel level you go no where) Nick from the company called said he had received the part and was at our campsite by 1100. After replacing the sensor he cleared all of the faults with his computer and we were on our way. I highly recommend this company they did a great job, Nick definitely knew what he was doing we were blessed that coach net sent them to us.

These guys are great… My truck broke down, I had it towed to my house cause I thought it was a easy fix… Did all the simple things I thought it could be… I gave them a call and they came out to my house same day to diagnose the issue… Turned out to be a CP4 pump… Had it towed to their shop the following week and got my truck back up and running in 2 days as promised… Nick and rest of the crew are truly amazing and honest people… I will have them work on all of my trucks from here on out… Thank you guys once again and happy Father’s Day!!!!

Top notch guys. Top notch service. Had lingering AC issues other shops were incapable of diagnosing. Within minutes Tom located the issue and had parts on the way. These guys are professional, quick, and know what they’re talking about. Will definitely be going back.
