“The VFW was a fantastic and affordable venue to host our family event, Sweet 16. The auditorium comfortably held 150 people with a stage for the DJ and enough space for food buffets and dancing. We very much appreciated their accommodations!”
“Saw this place while driving through Austin and thought it'd be a neat place to visit. I'm not super familiar with Pinball but thought it'd be fun.
It seems to be more focussed on typical prize ticket arcade games with a redemption counter. Other shooter games as well as mainstays such as skiball and such. Offhand I only remember seeing about a dozen pinball machines, and from what I see online, it looks like their other locations have a stronger focus on pinball.
I know prize arcades aren't cheap, but with how tight tickets here are, and how many games of chance (LOTS of coin pushers and the like) I probably won't be returning to this location. I'm not sure what the dollar-to-token ratio is, especially with buy more save more promotions, but I'm sure you're paying well over a dollar per game. Started with $60 in "tokens", and I think we ended up with about $5 worth of candy/bouncy balls.
That said, I'd be very interested to visit the other locations, where i think there's a stronger focus on pinball, so hopefully they can keep their prices a little lower, not needing to worry about ticket redemption costs.”
“Visiting from NJ and this was a "must do" from several friends and family members.
Without a doubt, the best $15 you can spend in Austin. The cruise ran close to 90 minutes and Captain Gabe provided lots of history and stories of the area. Very informative!
The night time skyline views are amazing and watching the bats leave their nests was certainly a unique experience.
Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.
Quick tip: if you get here early, we found free street parking right in front of the Hyatt (parking is free on Sundays) and walked over to the Yeti Flagship store on the corner and enjoyed several cocktails at the bar. You can order a drink/beer and wander the store while shopping.”

211 E 3rd St, Austin“I stayed here while attending a conference at the next door hotel. The Hyatt place was $100/night cheaper and the room was great! Clean, comfortable, and the Chromecast on the TV was a nice bonus. There's a mini fridge in the room which is nice. I had a burger at the bar downstairs. It was good but needed a little salt. Staff was super friendly. I was on the 14th floor which has a great view.”
“We recently visited Memorial Miniature Golf and Museum in Buda, Texas, and we can't recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, the friendly owners and staff made us feel incredibly welcomed. The facility is not only fun but also well-maintained, ensuring a top-notch experience for visitors of all ages. The miniature golf course is a blast, offering challenging holes and plenty of excitement for the whole family. The WWII plane model and mini museum add an extra layer of immersion and excitement to the experience. Our kids are already demanding to go back.Overall, Memorial Miniature Golf and Museum exceeded all our expectations, providing a perfect blend of entertainment, education, and family-friendly fun. Whether you're a history buff or just looking for a great time, this place is a must-visit!”

“ACL Live at Moody Theater is one of the best music venues I’ve ever been to.
Incredible acoustics, incredible sight lines regardless of where your seats are. I’ve sat at the very top and stood on the floor… all are enjoyable!
Try to score tickets to an Austin City Limits taping! Amazing to see live!”
“The staff is always super great
Theyre very helpful with drinks or snacks
Establishment is very dog friendly and they have water and treats for doggo.
They will let you sample anything you are curious to try as well as super affordable bottles to take home”
“This place is a hoot! We’ve been coming here since they’ve opened and have always had a great time. The place is clean and kept up well and their landscaping just pulls it all together. I highly recommend Duke’s for some challenging putt-putt!”
“My son and his beautiful bride enjoyed a romantic magical wedding last weekend. The venue is beautiful and is laid out in a fashion to use every bit of it. Married out under the old oaks, charcuterie on front courtyard. Dinner and dancing under the tent overlooking the pond and flowers. Then my family spent the night in the house and enjoyed family breakfast together. The wedding party stayed in the cabin and had a sleepover party. These kids have known each other since child hood and Mark & Beth wanted to celebrate with friends. This venue has it all. The Coordinater Catherine is so so organized but still defers to “what the bride wants” in her directions. Great communication at every step. Very professional service. Thank you for this day!”

1900 Rio Grande St, Austin“Came in for an event and loved the venue, which is luxurious and quiet despite being in the middle of some of the busiest place in Austin. Nick and the concierge team were amazing and helped myself and the guests of the event feel welcome.”
“It's a nice place. I would recommend going during weekdays to avoid crowds. Overall, it's a nice place with 3 stories of museum artifacts. It's better to get one year unlimited visits, It includes free parking which will cost you about $13. Individual ticket is $15 per ticket. The total annual cost of one year is $85 for the family of 4 and free IMAX movies access throughout the year.”
“As an independent contracted event staff worker, I have been here over 50 times and it’s such a great venue. It’s SO clean. There’s plenty of bathrooms, it’s huge, the green room is nice and air conditioned and aesthetically pleasing. I think it’s a great place for practically any event.”

1104 San Antonio St, Austin“We got married at The Allan House in early March and it was a DREAM! The clear tent was up and I’ll admit I was nervous about it, but it turned out beautiful! The staff made sure the day turned out perfectly and the grounds were the perfect setting for our day. We wanted the feel of a backyard/garden wedding at an estate and that is exactly what we got. One of the best parts was the reaction from each of our vendors when we told them The Allan House was our venue. They were all very comfortable with the venue and knew it well, which made things super easy on my planner and me! Our day went off without a hitch and we got SO many compliments on how beautiful and intimate the venue was. The staff at The Allan House was easy to work with and very responsive. 10/10!!!”
“I had a nice visiting this bar. It's super cute and I love the outside and inside ambiance. All the servers are great and they had Zee's Wiener System there so I ate two hotdogs while having my drinks. The hot dogs were a pop up but they were absolutely delicious!!!! I went early in the afternoon and although it was hot and sunny the inside bar was cool so I bounced in and out. The DJ was playing amazing music and it was a cool spot. Everyone there was so nice. The women's bathroom had these beautiful flamingos which made the decor stunning!”
“Amanda and Allison are phenomenal! Wonderful humans that keep things running smoothly and are so kind, warm, and welcoming! Give those ladies a raise and a genie wish, pronto!!”
“I love Umlauf Sculpture Garden because they always have fun and different events throughout the year. I can't say I'm a huge fan of a lot of their sculptures, but the place is really beautiful and a lovely way to spend an afternoon. Definitely stop by if they have an event going on! They did something fun for the Chinese New Year.”

400 Josephine St, Austin“Outstanding Service and Unforgettable Stay at The Carpenter Hotel
Our recent stay at The Carpenter Hotel in Austin, Texas, was truly unforgettable, and much of that is thanks to the exceptional service provided by the staff, especially Joseph at the front desk.
From the moment we checked in, Joseph’s warmth and professionalism stood out. He greeted us with a friendly smile and immediately made us feel welcome. Throughout our stay, Joseph consistently went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Whether it was offering thoughtful suggestions for local attractions, promptly attending to our requests, or just checking in to see how our day was going, Joseph’s genuine care and attention to detail made a significant difference in our experience.
What impressed us most was Joseph’s ability to anticipate our needs before we even asked. It’s rare to encounter someone who is so attuned to guests’ needs and who can make you feel so valued and cared for. His deep knowledge of the hotel and the surrounding area was incredibly helpful, and his personalized recommendations really enhanced our visit to Austin.
In addition to Joseph, we also want to recognize Carole and James, who were equally wonderful. Carole’s insights into local spots were spot-on, and James was always there to assist with a friendly attitude. Together, they created an atmosphere that was warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating.
The Carpenter Hotel itself is a gem in Austin – stylish, comfortable, and perfectly situated for exploring the city. The rooms are beautifully designed with a unique flair that reflects Austin’s eclectic vibe, and the on-site amenities are top-notch.
In summary, our stay at The Carpenter Hotel was made extraordinary by the remarkable service from Joseph, Carole, and James. We left with wonderful memories and can’t wait to return. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Austin, look no further than The Carpenter Hotel – and be sure to say hello to Joseph”

2919 Menchaca Rd Suite 205, Austin“This place is absolutely heaven sent!As a professional event planner myself, I have always felt the need to plan and design all my own parties. This year for my son’s 2nd, despite how excited I was to get to work, I decided I needed a break because I had a big 100 person wedding to plan the day before.Leah the owner is an absolute design and party planning rockstar . She created the most beautiful atmosphere for my son and even incorporated his favorite Pinkfong character Hogi. She is willing to go the extra yard for her clients and is easy to communicate with! The venue itself is like a mini Disneyland for kids! Everything is clean, sanitized and organized . In addition, the face painting/balloon artist was insanely talented! The party itself was perfect in every way. Our guest were blown away by the uniqueness of the concept of this little town! The best part is that the experience was completely hands free and there was no set up and clean up for me and my family!Thank you to Leah and her team! I know I can always trust a fellow professional event planner like her to plan the best parties for my son!”
“We recently had the pleasure of celebrating our wedding at this incredible venue, and we cannot recommend it enough! From the very beginning, Morgan and Sandy were exceptionally easy to work with, always going above and beyond to accommodate our needs and desires. We had a day-time wedding, which meant a morning set-up, and they were so accommodating to this, despite having a wedding the night before that ended at midnight!
Whenever we visited the venue, we were greeted by Sandy, who is helpful, funny and kind. Although we never had the chance to meet Morgan in person, she was incredibly sweet and considerate through email, answering all our questions promptly.
The venue itself is absolutely magical. The flowers and greenery create a stunning backdrop and everywhere you look is so picturesque. The adorable animals added a unique charm. We brought apples and carrots for guests to feed the animals, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
Many of our guests told us that our wedding was the best they've attended. We believe that the beauty of the property played a significant role in making our day so memorable.
Rambling Rose Ranch exceeded all our expectations and made our wedding day truly unforgettable. We are incredibly grateful for Morgan and Sandy and cannot recommend them enough!”

1006 S 8th St, Austin“The sanctuary event space was the perfect choice for our wedding. The beautiful setting is perfect for a small to mid-size wedding. We received tons of compliments on the venue choice!”
“I think the Center itself is fine. But parking was difficult, especially with one way in and one way out of the venue. The event (Austin Marathon packet pickup) was cramped, and poorly laid out - over all a pretty frustrating experience compared to other races”
“My family and friends love visiting Boggy Creek Farm. This is a great place for the kids to run around and see chickens. Yummy produce! We are looking forward to coming back again soon.”

1221 E 6th St, Austin“Went to rooftop bar (IYKYK) for DJs and dancing at a private event. Was a fun chill rooftop, drinks were a little expensive but not terrible considering downtown Austin.
They do not take cash which is pretty annoying, loss of one star.
The 12 oz can of DosXX was Just under $9.
Friend had a tequila cucumber drink that's on their menu. It was just under $16.
Both of these are tipping 20%, after tip. However, you don't really have the option to do anything else based on the digital menu. I mean you could remove the tip, but it's rude.
It's a relatively classy joint up there, and people were well dressed for let's call it... Uptown. ? Although that could have been the event that we were at, rather than the venue.”
“First time in this hidden gem. Everything was great, from service to the food we ordered, even the drinks. Definitely will return with family and friends.
P.S. did I mention the beautiful peacocks walking around? They are beautiful. Love this place. There is no other in Austin. ??♥️”

“Creekshow is one of the many reasons I love loving in Austin. A free art show in a tiny treasure of a park downtown. Come support a beautiful park and wonderful art installations.”
“As a photographer, hummingbird house has been an exceptional venue for me to create my work and acommodate my couples. Danny and his team at the venue are incredibly kind, helpful, and always a blast to hang out with! I can't recommend this venue enough!”
