“When you actually need help to find the right bolt and matching lock washer, skip the Big L and Orange Box and go to McCoy's. Refreshingly knowledgeable people helped me with those bolts and solved my challenges with building nesting boxes for my chickens. My husband has been going there for years and now I will, too. “I was a little intimidated at first, being a total newbie with hardwoods but one of the reps took me under his wing and showed me around the warehouse and explained how everything worked. So I fumbled my way around and picked my wood, got processed and loaded into my car. They were kind enough to cut the longer pieces to fit in the back of my sedan. It was a learning experience for me but I left the place with a massive smile on my face and some pretty cool wood for my project.”

“What a great experience! I stopped in today to pick up some stainless steel nuts. I described the application that I was using them for (holding on an exhaust manifold) and the extremely knowledgable, good-humored, and lovely young woman recommended stainless / nylon lock nuts, while dismissing lock washers as junk. She educated me about galvanized vs. zink plating, how the nylon locking do-hickey worked, and I walked out the door with exactly what I needed in under 5 minutes. In an era where big box stores with commoditized customer service, it's refreshing and reaffirming that the craft and care of "the hardware store" is alive and well at Fastenal. The selection is excellent, and the prices are reasonable. I look forward to the next time I need hardware.”
“All I can say is that Nash, the salesperson, helped me place my order. He was very patient and calm about the situation, so the next guy ( another salesperson) handled my situation very well. I can tell you that the service is excellent compared to the one in Houston ( Jennifer Paz), salesperson very rude woman. The location @ Little York I don't recommend going there for no help from the sales personnel.”
